The cross field scoober is dreamy 😍. Another great analysis Ian 💪🏼

I don't think it's correct to prioritize "punishing" missed layouts. Like you said - it's hard to get turns at higher levels - so don't do the defense any favors by rushing a throw. If you make good choices you WILL eventually score, so there is very little incentive to take any risk at all (and conversely, the defense should ALWAYS gamble) and marks are generally ineffectual - good throwers find open throws. I think the instant switch before the final throw was really strong and smart and something many ultimate players struggle to do easily.

Apparently that was Daan's first ever Greatest, which is both ludicrous and entirely believable.

With the incomplete scoober, I’d deffo chalk it up to a receiving error, he attempts to catch it right hand on top, meaning he has to reach across himself and contort his arms in an awkward way, left hand on top would have been way more of a natural catch with the angle to disc was arriving, but idk how many players are practising various catching techniques

watching the Cardenas sisters travel is one of my favorite past times. Only a minute in and 1:39 is egregious, not watching the rest of the video so dont ask for more examples but its just so funny how consistent it has been for the past couple of years. Ppl gotta start calling them on it

great analysis, but your mic is lacking, you're underwater the whole video, would be so much watchable, mic's aren't too expensive, and it might not be the mic, it just feels like you're scared to be loud, assume yourself, but other than that loved it

A great way to check for clarity is by reading the closed captions that KZbin automatically puts into uploaded videos. If they display nonsensical words/sentences, then it's definitely equally difficult to hear for human ears as well.

Should also add.. chemistry is so underrated in these national team format types of games.. I'd imagine the sisters playing together with each other for so long know each other tendencies.. many times you have players slapped together with no chemistry..

The cutter in me will say this is a good video and explains this well. The handler that I am is going to say this is a poorly thrown huck.... Receiver has steps you have the entire open side to throw to because of the separation made by your cutter. you need to honor this beautiful cut with the throw it deserves especially with the mark being so far away.
@squidge9038 ай бұрын
"less than ideal throws like this" - it's already been said.
@nolancochran8318 ай бұрын
I'm a bit confused by the force number 17 put on the thrower after the switch. Her teammates are positioned to take away the side line in a force flick, yet she goes flat and leaves the opposite side of the field open. It was a great switch after the layout but a little mishap on the forcing I think. Probably wouldn't have mattered since the throw was over the top and likely would have gotten off even with a forcing side line mark, but maybe would have made the look a bit harder.
@Joe-oj9fr7 ай бұрын
I believe that was just their team defensive look. Force middle flat mark

At 0:33 isnt that an offensive foul? Was it contested or accepted? If accepted, it should have been a turnover.

I assume it was treated as an indirect foul rather than a receiving foul since it took place before the disc was thrown.

People hating on the list but a) these are highlights, just enjoy and b) the game is evolving right in front of our eyes. People didn’t use to throw lefty or high release or whatever on a regular basis, now more are
@Mellowyellow88887 ай бұрын
i think the issue is the title of the video "creative".. hammers are pretty norm now.. literally 1/2 these videos are hammers.. creative typically means something original or something that is imaginative in a particular situation.. alot of hammers to open space unfortunately don't really fall under this category since its used too often now..
@travismackenzie9 ай бұрын
The throw at 2:39 is literally just a force side forhand. Some are creative but most are just hammers/scoobers...
@fionamernagh9 ай бұрын
Think you're missing a major part of the point; it's where they're thrown to, how they're released, the pinpoint accuracy, who they throw around, the fact that they could find that target, etc. Not just the literal type of throw.
@jb174154 ай бұрын
@@fionamernaghwhat you just described is what makes these throws impressive. What’s being discussed is whether they’re creative like the title claims
