Was he early? He was only a bit on the small side, but he had quite a bit of vernix and lanugo, so I just wondered. What an awesome job you did. I don't think I could handle having my youngest jumping around with me while in labor! Did you monitor the baby at all while in labor? I'm all for home births, but personally wouldn't risk an unassisted birth.

This is my video. Thank you so much for the kind words. My intention in the beginning wasn't to go unassisted but things happen. Choices are made and what's important in the end is that I got the birth I wanted. My baby is healthy. I am healthy. :) my husband is the best while I'm in labor. CloudNt ask for anyone better. Part of the reason we chose to burn the umbilical cord was that it seals the end so it's cleaner. It heals extremely fast. His cord fell off on day 3! Both my girls were at least 10 days. And also a big reason for it is that labor and birth is a slow process so the idea is to slowly detach baby from the only home he's ever known. You can look it up and find great info on it. My son is now 4m old and is just beautiful :) so glad we went this route and if we decided to do it again I would probably go this route again.
