I know a lot of English speakers who work in customer service for some of the big international companies like Amazon. Try LinkedIn to search for those type of roles. This is a lovely video but apart from a few seconds at the beginning, all the images are of Chania Town. Yes Chania is lovely but your title is Kalyves Crete - Worth visiting. You talk about many of the restaurants like Il Forno, and Provlita and it would have been nice for people to see pictures of these tavernas. I've got to ask, how are you able to afford a car and to travel and live in Poland? I assume you've brought plenty of money with you or were you able to afford everything with the job you have there? Great question! I’m by no means rich but like most people I have a job (in Poland) which pays the mortgage and allows me to travel now and again. I definitely couldn’t afford to live here without working - it’s getting more expensive by the day at the moment. There are so many international companies in the big cities that a lot of them don’t require Polish language skills so there are opportunities.

@@Markmywordschannel Thank you for the response! Did you arrive on your own not knowing the language and found work right away? Or did you have help from family or friends already living in Poland? Good question. I moved here long before brexit so it was a lot easier back then, I could just turn up, register my stay at the local council and then find a job… unfortunately now it’s a lot harder. There are a lot of international companies in Poland who don’t require fluent Polish and the day to day work is carried out in English so that really helps. For the first 4 years I just rented then about 3 years ago I got a mortgage to buy my own place, unfortunately this is now harder due to brexit so I’m happy I did it before that.

There is one thing about food that is important. Even if you have exactly the same food like in the UK, it wouldn't taste the same because of the different place you eat it in. It's not the same having fish in the mountains and having it by the sea. So even if you go to a genuine English pub in Poland, it's not going to be the same like in England. Italian pizza or sea food in Japan? Can't even emagine it. When I travel the food I miss is mostly the Polish bread, strawberries and dairy products. When in the UK I loved fish and chips and English breakfasts, the breakfast is big enough to last for hours, you aren't getting hungry until 6 pm.
