Good lesson

Years ago I remember when Dave Reagan taught us how to make Jesus Lord of our lives, you have to make Jesus Lord of everything everything we do including the books we read, the TV we watch and everything we do. So I stopped listening to music that wasn't Christrain. I noticed when I do that I'm not feeling like I'm a good Christian. I know that my saving isn't basicd on feelings.

So thrilled to hear my sister Ruth Deam speak to share her heart and her love for the Lord . I have known Ruth through Calvary Chapel ministries for a long long time. She is quite modest in her sharing as I know the impact she has made in so many many lives. I think sometimes we forget that the Word of God remains alive when we share it from the heart...then sometimes leave for a time . ( Ruth left Kenya for L.A. for a time ) I can only imagine her joy on returning home to see that teaching library not just there in Kenya still...but thriving. She has helped so many into the water of Siloam ( it means "sent " ) who could not get in their selves. They in turn , lifted up others. In these hard times, discouragement is a human emotion and all it takes is a little bit of a peek to see where the Lord has taken you to fully know He has never ever left...He will never ever fail. We may feel weak, tired and sometimes incapable but He will ALWAYS find a way to renew that wonderful spiritual zeal that explodes out of a Christian with a heart for missions. ( it's like He tosses us back into that pool !! ) That is Ruth who left the chaos of these times to go back home to the place where it all began. Ruth has a gift of enormous empathy for the hurting and the suffering. Like so many of us, she has had frustration seeing so many who have so much opportunity just starve in their own lostness creating chaos in this world. She found new life once again...how? Seeing the suffering in her own land once again. Where she goes, what she does ....the future is open. The Gospel burns in her heart and her love and empathy for the hurting is her special gift that the Lord will use. I am excited for her. Like the boy Samuel and Eli........ The Lord called.....and Samuel said: "Here am I Lord" May the Lord continue to bless and protect you Ruth. You are special. With love and prayers, Alison Brundage
