We do this in Croatia (we learned it from Ottomans) although not in sand and we leave it to settle for a minute, otherwise the cup is full of coffee grinds which sometimes make you regret you took the last sip. There's nothing tastier than Arabica done in Turkish pot, no milk or sugar needed, so much flavor, there's simply no competition

I agree! It definitely has that pure taste to it. And yes it does have that coffee grind at the end.

it's like German are amazed of Döner / now the Amis amazed of Turkish Coffee and once you see the way of how it traditionally / ordinarily prepared in Türkiye, tourists get disappointed and rather give 5 bucks per cup when they back their hometown just for the show.

@@BoundlessPinay that's how they legitimize their overpriced fee tags :D it has nothing to do with traditional turkish coffee neither the aroma extraction. Every household in Türkiye use simply 1$ Pot (Cezve) / Water and 6gr Coffee (upon taste little sugar added) to prepare it, you cook the coffee on your oven by mid to low temp during mixing it by spoon until water start to boil then you're done. Once you keep the temperature constant and not overcook the coffee then you're good to go.

Yet it imparts nothing to the coffee. Boiled coffees are not new. They exist everywhere coffee has taken hold. Be it Turkish or Cowboy coffee.
