This makes me feel better. I have the PC version and its been a mess. I sent it back and they said "Works with our mags". However it was functioning better when I got it back. I have the Springer mag springs and they didn't help. I ordered the Apex extractor as the next step. If I still have issues, then I am going to try the Galloway 24lb. Currently It has 2 FTF in a box of AAC FMJ. The AAC XTP will not run at all, like 5 FTF per mag.

have you tried any other ammo brands? could be AAC since I've been reading some not so good things about their ammo, but haven't tried it myself. What is the factory spring on the 4.6” version? I’ve been experiencing some FTF’s with even S&B 180gr FMJ, which is a pretty tame round. It has been getting a little better the more rounds I put through it. For a while, it was really bad. It would stove pipe on literally every round. I managed to get through a full mag of the S&B the last time I took it out. I’ve also been hearing some of it could be related to the factory mag springs. Seems Spencer Precision Extra Power mag springs has helped improve the reliability in conjunction with maybe a Wolfe recoil spring in the 20 to 22lb range.
@CabinPews
@CabinPews 2 ай бұрын
I'm assuming its also a 17lb spring. how many rounds have you put through the gun? still might be in the break in period, but shouldn't have these kind of issues from the factory IMO. I have the stiffer mag springs which didn't help. I have the 24lb recoil spring installed, but haven't tested it yet. maybe tomorrow. if that does not work i will try the 26lb spring as a last resort and if that does not work i'm not sure what ill do with it. maybe shoot it with my Barrett lol.

The galloway 24 lbs recoil spring seemed to help my 4.6", but moving away from isocoles and locking my right arm out seemed to be the best combo for relability. I still have initial feeding issues from the first round out of a fresh magazine, so I'm going to try replacing the magazine springs with some springer precision and then polish the feed ramp with a compressed cotton dremel bit and some green vert jewelers polish. If i'm still running into issues, I'm trading it in for a shield plus. I like the extra horsepower to match .357 magnum, but at the end of the day only reliable firearms are worth carrying

I have the Galloway 24lb spring in my hands now, just need to try it out. I’ve noticed that I really only had issues with the HSM bear loads. All other factory ammo cycled fine when I added the 22lb spring. I’m curious if the Galloway spring will help. When I added the springer mag springs the improvement was marginal and I still had the same issues and if anything it made it worse. At least on my 4” model. A polish can’t hurt, but we shouldn’t have to do this lol. I might end up going with FN 510 instead of this thing. Only problem with that gun is I have massive hands, so slide bite is inevitable.
