1975-77 were the worst years for Elvis. His deterioration was more noticeable.

Wow, I'm a HUGE, HUGE Elvis fan, I performed for 40 years in Las Vegas, I did Elvis impersonations and was the manager of the longest running Elvis show in Las Vegas, but I can't believe what I'm seeing, you NEVER perform by holding a lyric sheet in your hand on stage. I'm so dismayed by seeing this, you'd think that Elvis would know better.
@stayawayjoe23 күн бұрын
It was an impromptu performance of the song it was a request from the film produces . The song was just 2 weeks old. Elvis never planned to put the song in the setlist.
@micktiano938623 күн бұрын
@@stayawayjoe I don't care what you want to call it you don't go on stage holding a piece of paper reading the lyrics while singing a song, you learned the song first from just like he learned all the other ones and then you perform it. That looked horrible to me and I'm the biggest Elvis fan in the world
@stayawayjoe23 күн бұрын
@@micktiano9386 I’m sorry but he did, he did’t care either. And has sold out shows.
@micktiano938623 күн бұрын
@@stayawayjoe Like I said, I'm a HUGE Elvis fan, impersonated him and ran an Elvis show in Vegas for 7 years, I know he sold out shows, I know that he did read off that paper, I know he was "the King"....... It didn't look good, you learn the song FIRST before you sing it. Think about this, because he didn't know it, he "sang" it, he didn't "perform" it, understand ?
@stayawayjoe23 күн бұрын
@@micktiano9386 Do you really think I need to understand something? Or that your opinion interests me at all? Then you’re wrong. I’m just telling you how it happened, no more, no less. Since I also remember how it happened at that time. Additionally, you can read everything in the great book “Elvis in Person 1972” by Sony FTD, to which I also contributed. But the reason is that 5 minutes before he went on stage, he was asked about it. I also have footage from a few days later in San Antonio on April 18, where he was asked again, and even then, he did it from a note. Only he quickly threw it away.

GENZ will never understand how much of a Boss Move this is by Elvis and his crew check it: 1:27 - He already said it's new and they have never performed it before and admitted they may "Goop it up" as he says because he has to read the lyrics on a piece of paper. 1:37 - He proceeds to catch and feel the rhythm of the music so he knows how to place the lyrics at the right tone 1:43 - based on what he just heard he went with the flow of the band and let the rhythm dictate how he would sing it, based on past practice of the song 1:54 - Girl, Girl, Girl, Girl was not sang there was hesitation on his singing since the forth girl almost threw him off 1:56 - One of the backup singers already stated she can't hear him because of how loud the instruments are, so it's hard to know where they jump in 2:03 - One of the dancers just stood up she might have just went along with the tone of the lyrics he's singing to determin its there queue ... which could have easily been wrong 2:15 - Because the backup could not hear what elvis was saying they mistakenly said "Burning Up" instead of Love 2:15 - You see Elvis face when he heard it and started laughing 2:22 - You can tell this part of the song wasn't rehearsed often since he started to read more on the lyrics 2:27 - He literally said "Hang on now" since he has no idea what is next ... yet he still caught the Rhythm and tone of where he left off in the song and sang it perfectly 2:53 - Thats when he lost the rhythm and depended on adlibs and mumble the tone is of and the instruments are in a loop trying to find where he is on the lyrics. 3:40 - NO ONE KNEW HOW TO END IT LOL!! After all this ... this sounded sooo F$@#%#$ GOOD! .... What makes this perfect is the imperfections
