Some of these places are crazy expensive and pretty unrealistic for most travelers four nights stay in the top hotels here will run you $5,000 or more

I don't agree with the opinions on the interior. What do you expect? these are historical buildings and are preserved in there original state. Modernized by present day luxuries. Not all forts are made in the same dimensions. For me, visiting and staying in a forts like this is an opportunity to experience and learn how royals of the time, lived in these particular area. I do feel these fort hotels miss on big point and I wish some one would give them a suggestion. When it comes to Food options, they should always serve local dishes (beside the continental meals) too, As in Rajasthani Cuisine that tourists would love to experience.

we're all entitled to our opionions... but I stand by my view that the designers here missed a big opportunity. My reviews of the RASS Devigarth and Six Senses Fort Bawara are examples of old forts done right.

La Ropa is probably my favorite beach in all of Mexico. Good choice of food, accessible, and the best part for anyone with children the waves are not rough. While I don't mind Ixtapa, I usually stay in Ixtapa, but spend most of my time at La Ropa, or at least a day out on the island. Which is very touristy, but the sand is great, the waves are great, and its a fun ride out. Zihua now doesn't look like it did in the Shawshank redemption, but my first visit back in the 80s, it was very much that tiny town, in less the 30 years its grown so much. I will have to try to visit Troncones, like you I prefer smaller, quieter resorts.

Wow; seems like somewhere I need to go. BTW, "most unique" makes no sense; something is either unique or it isn't, just like someone is either pregnant or they're not. If you mean _distinct,_ _rare,_ or _different,_ just say that. Also, the abbreviation for _square feet_ is "sq ft", not "SF" (which would mean San Francisco, or something like that), while the square metre uses a symbol of m², not "SQM" (which would mean siemens-quettamolar).

Do not rent a surfboard from this shop, you may not get your deposit back. When I returned the surfboard, The guy inspected it and noticed a very small resin break on the nose of the board, which he thought was a “ding”that needed to be completely repaired. Even he sucked the damage with his mouth and found that no water or air came out, he still thought it was a “ding”that needed to be repaired. He used the flashlight on this wound and thought that light had penetrated, so it was “ding”???I could hardly take a picture of this wound .but the guy said that theirs board needs to be kept in perfect condition, so it needs to be “ding”However, when we rented this surfboard, we found that the more serious scratches on the board had not been repaired. There was no breakage in the fiberglass, no leaking minor damage, cost us $40, however, when I went to the next store to return my short board, we showed the pictures explaining the situation and they told us it was absolutely can't be called a ding, let alone repair it in a ding way. After that, I asked two more surf shops and they told me that was ridiculous! Never rent a board from someone who never surf! 0:16

The worst hotel mangement ever, hotel manager is like a child, whatever they do doesnt matter he is like " we didnt do anything" No hot water in the shower, waited 6 hours to get fixed and worked only once was cold again later on, we could only take shower with warm water once. They almost blinded my wife, had a construction going on at the restaurant area at 8 pm (dinner time) very professional! a piece of wood bursted and came to my wife's eye. Almost blinded her and what they said? Put some water, pain will go away! They took our luggages from the room and we went to the reception, guess what? A wheel of our luggage was on the floor. They broke the wheel of our luggage, what they said ? " We didnt do anything". When we checked in, the guy at the reception said that we will have the "full experience", we curtainly have. it is like hell in heaven, only area is beautiful, mangement is by far the WORST. You can stay at another hotel on that beach cause the beach is beautiful but NOT AT BE TULUM, THE WORST HOTEL MANAGEMENT EVER.

So hard looking for a perfect place to stay, looking at Alesund a lot but also Tromso, would you say either is a great pick for nature/stunning views etc in the month of March. Also have you tried Hotel Union Oye? Was looking to stay there as it looks beautiful.

Been going to that area since I was a little Kid. My favorite place in the world. I stay in Ixtapa and meet up with others I've met from going there over the years. We make day trips to Tronc, Zihua. Best time of the year is January-March. Full sun everyday and mid to high 80's. Did you make it to Ixtapa Island?

I’ve stayed at both the Alila Diwa and the Diwa Club in high season and both are quiet. Scanners at reception are quite common in India. The hotel used to offer a beach club but most guests preferred to go to the local shacks to get a real experience and not just a resort feel.
