This is so excellent and I'm sure there is some math and measurements, involved. You did a beautiful job. Really artistic and well engineered!

Inspiring project. Thanks for sharing. I want to do similar project with kids. What did you use for building ice-bricks. Did you deal with up and down temperature (I am in NH)? Also, how did you do angle to get to the dome shape? Thanks.

Wow that is amazing! Talk about dedication to! You guys should have 10 million views here. That is neat. We made the colored ice globes (did a video on it) with our 3 year old we lit our's up as well. Loved the igloo. May have to try it when he gets bigger! Well done!!!

How do you recommend attaching the top few rows of blocks at such an angle (and getting them to stay)? Thanks!

Patience and cold freeze on contact temperatures. Although slushy snow can work really well too on the milder days. Use a good spray bottle and get both surfaces really wet and pack in with snow constantly adding moisture as you go. Keep the pressure on. Each block on the top few rows took about 5 minutes to place and set. The horizontal ones at the top are more or less wedged in place since everything around it was solid at that point. We used a combination of melting the ice with a electric skillet and a reciprocating saw to cut the angles for the last few rows.

wow! That's awesome! :) I can't believe you got the the top to stay with just snow and ice.
