This is amazing. Some of them I get, some I don't, but I love seeing the connections that someone else made. Blackstar was particularly great, especially since Bowie played sax!

I know most people are gonna get these but: David bowie(1967): had barbershop influences David bowie(1969) : space oddity Man who sold the world: Bowie was starting to come into his own with this album, but hadn’t quite made it yet. Just like how Homer looked like he was gonna make the jump, but failed Hunky dory: very piano based Ziggy stardust: album was about an alien Aladin sane: hard rock sound Diamond dogs: based on a 1984 dystopia, and some of the songs were actually written for a scraped musical based on 1984 Young Americans: disco sound, also he was doing a lot of cocaine in those days Station to Station: deep in drug habbit Low: the clips sounds like a mix between the 2 sides Heroes: his first marriage was on the rocks at the time Lodger: had some eastern influences Scary monsters: kind of a dark album Lets dance: dance sound Tonight: was the same as lets dance but worse Don't let me down: funk sound Black tie white noise: he just got married to Iman at the time 1. Outside: had a few gory lyrics Earthling: Trent Reznor was involved with this album Hours: kind of grunge influenced Heathen: very sad lyrics Reality: based on the album art The next day: was his first album in years Blackstar: last album before his death.

A little late to this but my interpretation of “man who sold the world” was that even though it had a few successful songs Bowie still hadn’t quite made it as a rockstar? But that’s just my interpretation anyway.
@brenetssss Жыл бұрын
@@samapple490thats what i thought too, i thought Homer saying "im gonna make it" and not really making it represented Bowie trying to blow up lmao

5:11 What the hell does this scene have to do with Earthling? That album's a drum 'n' bass and electronica tribute.

I watched more than 3 minutes of this and the clips have NOTHING to do with Bowie's albums! There's music by OTHER artists but not Bowie. The title of this video makes no sense.
