Would it be ok if I used a couple of segments from this video? We are trying to attract a scientific meeting here to Dundee and it was just to show the city in all its glory - which your excellent video does :-) Non-commercial and hopefully to attract some international visitors to the city!

I've got the Chinook too and have found it a bit of a handful with the flight model, but it's a great beast. And as you say it will only get better with time and updates. It's well worth it and you flew the demo really well!

When you add an airshow crowd object in your airport, you could find the right viewpoint, because simply just click F12 and use it as a point of view. Turn the view until you find yourself, your aircraft, or whatever you want and press Num . You will follow your chosen object.

You should not scroll to your local airfield in F11. Simply just click on your airport middle icon in F10 map view and press F11, you will jump into your airport.

Thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate that! There is an option in the audio section called "hear cockpit sounds in external camera" I think it's something like that. If you un tick the box, you will have only external sounds. Thanks again 😁👍

Are you still able to VTOL takeoff with the B? I slowly apply throttle and it tilts backwards- and this is with nozzle position 4, not 5. Seems you have to pitch forward while doing a vertical takeoff?

NOTICE It's a lot easier to use WASD to move around, SHIFT to speed up, CTRL to slow down. You can also use Q to go down, and E to go up -- and use SHIFT and CTRL to change the speed.

it's a lovely mod but i can't help to notice how the control surfaces aren't rotating properly to match the movement of the aircraft and its known behavior. especially considering the thing was purposefully unstable to be maneuverable, the pitch effect of the canards and stubby elevator makes it seem like it has a positive static margin. the real thing would use the surfaces to briefly bring the plane out of stability and the canards would be working overtime to conter the plane wanting to summersault, the fly by wire working to make the plane behave how the pilot expects it to, and only how the pilot expects it to. nonetheless this is really good flying on your part, i love this.

Sadly that is one of the limitations of the SFM (standard flight model) in DCS. one of many infact... stall behaviour,...etc. Hopefully in the future The EFM will become a viable option. Cheers
