Taking this idea on board, I did something similar but I used a windscreen wiper motor which is very low geared. I also used a motor controller so I can vary the speed. For the surface I used cheap thinnish mountboard.

I like this a lot, Don! A nice, simple base with a backdrop that may accommodate a variety of vehicles that may be switched out for display or contest entry purposes. A simple upgrade would be to add graffiti or propaganda posters to the wall to help set the scene. Thanks for sharing your skills, methods and ideas, Don! And have a very Happy Christmas! 28th Like.

Merry Christmas Don, I love the finished wall mate! You said that you laid the bricks flat instead of edge on but have you thought about laying them edge on to a piece of your thick card so that you'd get a more scale wall thickness? I have used your brick making method and carving into XPS foam and both ways have their advantages.

I have been binge watching your excllent videos, especially the bombed out building dioramas, it's a shame you don't provide a set of paper templates for your builds, obviously not for free, i would gladly pay for templates to save having to work out positions of windows, doors etc on the card before you start building. Thanks for the hours and hours of work you have put in to the channel.

So the doors are ~1.4m high in 1/35 scale?
@modelermark17218 күн бұрын
To the best of my memory, I have NEVER seen a 20th Century movie theater in anything but a model railroad layout - much less in a 1/35th scale military diorama. But this has definite possibilities. I'm going to have to consider building one of these just for the novelty. It's great to have you back, Don! 10th Like.

I would like to take a moment to highlight how poor Bill Reynolds escaped the prejudice and discrimination of Eddie Booth only to move into his new flat and find 3 dead bodies rotting behind his kitchen. I hope he found a better life in Walford.
