I felt a bit nervous-kind of terrifying, but I just simply needed to trust Zeke to lead Me to where I needed to go-didn’t let the slight nervousness stop Me. I do have His trust, just had to rely on Him a bit more than usual. I wasn’t so distracted by the what I was seeing with My Left Eye’s Low Vision in front of Me-surroundings. It can be very easy for someone who has usable Eyesight (still on Blindness Spectrum or not) to try and see things. One of My Visually Impaired Facebook Friends posted about how He challenged Himself with His Guide Dog to not use His usable Low Vision either. (As mentioned in description and video-not sounding rude.) So I thought it would be an interesting video to create, but also as practicing those Service Dog skills I was taught by Guiding Eyes For The Blind.)

That’s a great exercise! I’m not vision impaired (yet at least!), and I often take that for granted. Even in the language I use. Plenty of metaphors relating to the visual experience. For instance: it’s cool that you take the time to “show” us what it’s like being visually disabled. You’re very thoughtful in the way you speak. I remember in an earlier video you said talking and vocalizing has been (continues to be) something you give specific attention and intentional effort towards. And I want to commend you! You are incredibly articulate, and I can tell by how you speak you have a great depth of feeling. Deeper than what’s outwardly apparent in most people. “Blessing and a curse” kind of level of feeling intensity. So yeah, 👍 as always, thank you Chris! Christian! I don’t mean to abbreviate if you prefer Christian 😅

I love watching dogs. They remind me of my own AuDHD tendencies. I do realize that I’m projecting a bit here, and anthropomorphizing. But whatevs 😅 dogs are awesome. Spend enough time with a dog, and I swear there’s some kind of mutual recognition. Reminds me of The Phenomenology Of Spirit by Hegel. Something about how only when looking into the eyes of a conscious being do we recognize our own consciousness, and separateness, and similarity. 😊 I didn’t complete the reading, but I remember the discussion 😅

@ it’s so easy to get frustrated/overwhelmed in the moment-only to look back later with a sense of longing and fondness. “The good times are happening now. Cherish: yes or no?” -If life had written prompts that pop up during gameplay 😉

(Majority of the time is Stairs or Elevators.) I'm fully aware of the potential risks of an Escalator too. 3. As I'm recording, I'm ONLY paying attention to My surroundings on The Escalators, with My functional Low Vision I have.

I’ve seen too many guide dogs using that type of martingale collar… do you know if there’s a reason for it? Genuinely curious! I have my own service dog, I wanna know if I should change the collar she uses based on your response?🤔

@@Vantas_Black The reason They’re used is for “better corrections” when needed. It doesn’t hurt Him, which I demonstrated in this video here: kzbin.infoOb69HM0WBxU?si=-FKP_1x2D116PwXm. (I didn’t get it, The Guide Dog Training School I got Him from uses these Collars for said reason.)

@ChristianSullivan I'm happy with a heater in front of me and a heavy blanket. I'll have a little coffee as well, as my husband is bringing some. After all day at work the veg out time on the couch (all nice and cozy) is the best. The temp seemed to really drop quick this evening, but that's Chicagoland for you! The older I get the harder the seasonal transition is, but this time next week I'll be in south Florida getting my beach time and vitamin D to make it through the winter! 😉🌞

@@ChristianSullivan Good idea for getting an Uber. It sucks how the break the law constantly refusing service dogs and nothing gets done about it. I didn't know they have a pet option.

@@TheServiceDogChannel Yes, it pisses Me off too. It’s also have to do with the Government not investing enough to help with Transportation changes for the Disabled and everyone else. (Their Driver’s I’ve been with are Animal People, which Works out for everyone-Uber Pet option.) I only use Uber, if My ADA Paratransit Services are screwing up via late, when I have to get to Work for example.

To avoid any problems, I chose the “Uber Pet” option. (Some people may not agree with how I use Public Transportation-specifically Uber in this case, but sometimes I have no choice. Since “not so great” Uber Drivers have been known for denying access to those of Us with Service Dogs unfortunately!) :(

@@thecrazylifeofniccipotter1210 I have Low Vision in My Left Eye, but Blind in My Right Eye. (Legally Blind/“Partially Blind,” when I tell people why I have My Guide Dog. Kids to be more specific and Their Parents trying to educate Them.)
