🙄I understand that you're cooking for a lot of people so I'm not gonna complain about the canned and frozen ingredients, but I gotta say something because I'm from New Orleans, THOSE CRAB BODIES ARE NOT PARBOILED SIR!!! What are you talking about? Also, you should've added those crab bodies to the pot BEFORE the fish to strengthen the flavor of the stock! (fish will break up too soon)Then you added the crab meat last after the Oysters? Huh? You can tell ya'll from Texas, and I don't know why ya'll saying Aiieeeee like you from the Atchafalaya swamp somewhere. smdh......

@telemyztery thank you for watching. I do have a video that shows how to make a compound butter. It is just a seasoned butter. It has herbs and spices in it. And all ingredients are listed in the video description. So glad you got to come back. Hope you get a chance to try the recipe. And hopefully you'll check out my other videos.

Where can u buy compound butter?
@pablovi773 ай бұрын
It’s impossible to do without the sauce breaking.
@ChefsBackyard3 ай бұрын
You just have to go slow, and remove from heat, continue whisking to fully emulsify the fat. You're just warming it up, but not taking it to the melting point. The technique is that of making a burre blanc, but in this case, I used lemon juice on place of the wine, and a pre-made compound butter that had the herbs and spices.

the water by itself did a pretty good job here! I think what you suggested is great advice. try to hit it with a wet paper towel after every cook to help maintain it. Then maybe do a deeper cleaning once a month or maybe even quarterly depending how much you use it. great tips and advice!

Thank you for your video. If I am only cooking steaks, primarily, am I better off to get a griddle instead of a grill? I have never done any kind of BBQ other than 35 years ago when I had an Hibachi, but now I live in a Condo so I can't have charcoal grill. I am eating carnivore now, so primarily I am having steaks or burger patties.
@ChefsBackyard4 ай бұрын
Grilling is best, as the fat that renders out will drip toward the flame, and evaporate giving frilled flavor. Pan is acceptable, just that it will be cooked in fat. Can you have a propane grill? Monument has 2 burner propane grills.

Hi thanks for video. Quick question: does it get dirty/hazy even during the cook due to grease/smoke? Or stays clear? 2nd - I am not very good at maintainance upkeep type activities. Would you say this one does require some uplift on that glass cleaning post Every cook as shit gungs up on the window? Or one can leave it for few cooks and clean it after?
@ChefsBackyard4 ай бұрын
For best results, you should give the Clearview Lid a wipe down after each use. It will make clean up quicksand easy if you stay on top of the cleaning. You may be able to go a few cooks without needing any maintenance.

I use denatured alcohol, after every couple of cooks or so. If I have a long cook or I neglect it a bit and it gets greasy I will use a non toxic degreaser such has Simple Green or Citru-Safe. My dad and brother really neglect the glass on their grills. Sometimes I go over there and scrape it with an old plastic gift or credit card..

How's the glass holding up ? Is it stained ?
@ChefsBackyard6 ай бұрын
The glass is holding up well. It should be cleaned between cooks. You can use water while it it still warm, after a cook. You can also use a little soap and water the spray soap works really well, just rinse it well to remove the soap.
