I would love to see a character appearance edit select. For example, every character on the roster would have different appearances you can choose from, like Bowser. When you select him, you could choose from Bowser, Dry Bowser, Meowser, etc.

I want a propper camagne mode like in the forza games, except ypu can pick an in universe brand and race for that brand, there can be online compatibility with this too, where you can race with other people who chose the same brand as you and they can be your team. There can be a top racer in every team, who can compete in competitions to encourage players to be good at the game and learn the mechanics.

My idea is coins not being capped at 10 and instead of increasing speed they fill up a meter that gives each character a sort of final smash like Mario can throw a giant fireball that takes up a good portion of the track and Luigi can pull other karts towards him with the poltergust, etc. There can also be gates that the player can spend their coin meter on to open for a shortcut. It would give players more of a reason to collect coins and make getting coins from item boxes actually useful.

What I want in Mario Kart 9 is customizable Kart pieces. Like you can paint them a certain color or you can change their size on the Kart.

I’ve always wanted a Mario kart with a story mode and cutscenes! And a hub world where you can get out of your car and go shopping with the coins you collect during races and missions and such. Imagine shopping in Coconut Mall for outfits, karts, tires, gliders, and maybe unlocking some items from past games by buying them at the mall. Maybe even a garage area where you can make your own kart and glider and emblem for your kart (like from DS) also I’d like to see character specific items make a comeback from DD and you’d have to go shopping as that character to buy that item. Also bringing back the custom items is a must

I really like your ideas however i would like to suggest some ideas i had to build upon this concept. Firstly something i would love to see in the next Mario Kart game is special items for each character like Tour and Double Dash, although those who would rather play normally should be able to turn them off. Something else from Tour i would love to see is costumes for the characters, maybe Nintendo could release new costumes in waves to keep people going back to the game or even have them unlocked through challenges (like defeating bosses for example). Tour already has alot of them, Nintendo just needs to port them in! Also, I'd like to see a shop where you can spend coins on unlockable vehicle parts, costumes or even characters! You mentioned coins not being items anymore and instead only on the tracks themselves, having a shop would give more reason to try and get as many coins as possible! Lastly, some sort of Cup creator would be amazing, or some sort of course playlist. When playing VS-mode i sometimes get pretty tired of picking a new track after each race, having some sort of playlist where you can select up to 4 tracks that are in the game to create a Cup would be so good. For the Cup emblem they could just make it be your Mii.

We should allow to be switch item easy

Nintendo should bring back mission mode to add more single player content. There should be an option for a last man standing approach to battle mode such as in Mario Kart DS where you have to pop all your opponents balloons to win. And an option to increase the number of players to 16, 20, or 24. Another idea could be a mashup of tracks such as combining SNES Mario Circuit 1,2,3, and 4 in one track as separate laps. Remove the 10 coin limit in each race. Include the Feather item in races as a way of dodging items and attacking opponents by jumping over them.
