My biggest concern is about the amount of un natural EMF and radiation that this implants into our cats bodies. Have their been any studies done on life span of cats chipped vrs unchipped. Also the kind of health issues or non health issues that can be associated with chipping?

Honestly, as most as people see this as a great idea, getting lost, vet etc.Would you really one to put one on a pets life? Cats where born in the wild and they arent just out pets they are our allies, they dont deserve to be micro-chipped just if they get “lost” or anything, what if they literally wanted to go to the wild anyway? What so we just capture them from the wild and return them back home? Cats deserve to live the way they want and they shouldnt be micro-chipped for reasons that make it unfair for their freedom.

There are many reasons cats should get microchipped. Every cat is different and, this is even more important to consider if you have indoor cats - not every cat will faire well in an outdoor or ‘wild’ environment. This is especially true if you live in an urban area where there are cars, toxic waste, and many other dangers that cats will likely get into. It is responsible cat ownership to keep track of your cats whereabouts and its status (such as if it is injured and brought to a vet clinic). Cats born and raised in captivity are NOT wild animals and should not be treated as such. Yes, give your cats freedom and space, but be responsible and consider that they WILL get into trouble and dangerous situations on their own. Microchipping ensures that your cat has a higher chance of being kept safe.

@@hazyfeelingwell the only purpose of this chip is to identify the pet, if this was to keep him safe, we should be able to track him by satellite to locate him asap... which isnt the case

@@4kushh only reason is some people make money from sales of these chips. I don’t see any other reason behind this. I have a indoor cat she never goes outside. What is the point of chipping her? Im really worried about side effects of this procedure too. Not every cat owners are irresponsible so that they abandon their cats. This is obligatory tho.

@@hazyfeeling I don’t leave my cat outside and never abandon her. So why Im supposed to microchipped my cat? Why this is obligatory? Is this safe for cats? How many research they have done before employing this? I have so many questions. Top of that, it is obvious this all benefits to people but not every cats

@@know7203 yeah i agree with you, my point was that if i really wanted to chip my pet itd be for safety to locate him (as mine has escaped already a few times) but we cant so yeah, microchipping your pet isnt really for the pet's safety but for "authorities" safety...

What's the point of micro chip?

vets can scan it to find out details about the cat such as address age owners number so like if they gey lost

@@aisha4795 Don't need the chip for that, the cat didn't want to return back home. Take animals rights away.

@@Shannon-v3fthis is one of the dumbest things I have ever read and I truly hope you don’t have any cats Cats that get lost without a chip have like a 5% chance of being found. Get them chipped so they don’t end up alone, scared and lost. So irresponsible

You make it look easy..I’m sure it is. It took me some time to get used to injecting one of our rescues with FIP. I got easier but I didn’t feel better doing it. I struggle to cause the pain

I have so many questions. Number one why is the microchip injector so large it looks like the size for dogs also, is that a real cat? Why does it still have a collar on and has a tight band around his neck?
@RTXKiIler8 ай бұрын
It’s just to ensure the chip is properly imbed into the scruf of the cat yes it’s the same size for dogs, yes it’s a real cat that is a hairless Spinx cat, and the cat was under surgery the mask provides a anesthetic that puts the cat to sleep a d the band around its neck is to keep the cat from moving
@sharyngarrigan6354 ай бұрын
There are different microchip brands. Some of the mechanisms are bigger than others. This is a common size. This is a real cat. It was scheduled for a surgery. The tight band is a "strap" used to secure the endotracheal tube in place. The cat was wearing the collar when it came in.

I think the machine in the background is a give away that the cat is in the surgery room? And also looks like the cat is sedated.
