@piele198211 күн бұрын
@funkmanone Sure buddy. Lets see how many of these crappy things stand after a hurricane. I mean, even insects eat your houses. The only reason you would be building this way is the price tag. In every other way it's inferior. Cope and seethe burger mutt.

@funkmanone11 күн бұрын
@@piele1982 see what I’m saying? Ignorance. You speak of minimum standards. While some building methods are certainly less than ideal, these are practices that allow people of the lowest incomes to afford homes. People who speak like you do are the same type of people who would have no problem doing away with fossil fuels overnight and killing millions in the process. Properly built timber frame homes are incredibly durable and yes do in fact survive hurricanes (I’m not sure why you think everyone in America lives in a hurricane zone). There are numerous preventive measures for termites. I’ve never lived in a home that was being “eaten by bugs”. The fact is that this land was and is still covered by forests therefore we become proficient with what we have access to. It’s simply a bonus that timber frame homes are exceptionally sturdy and even old stick built houses are still here standing after hundreds of years. The same forces that keep a tree resilient under it own weight, are now the forces that keep us wam, dry, and safe. If you want to talk about falling standards then there’s a conversation to be had but don’t just preach pure ignorance about stick built and timber frame in general. It makes you sound like a spoiled, naive, brat.

@@piele1982 Nothing wrong in building with wood as it's one of the most usefull and strong material around. But the way americans build everything CHEAP as possible is just ridiculous..
