I know you made this video 3 years ago, but I am planning to lead a mosaic birdbath community class this spring and loved your video! 2 questions: 1) Do we really not need to grout if we use this fast-setting cement (does the cement act as adhesive AND grout?) 2) I am assuming you need to use a sealant if this will be outside with water in it, correct? Thank you for your help!
@TanyaVisserTheGardener21 күн бұрын
Hi There! That's very exciting :) Yes - the cement will act as an adhesive and you can use a cement sealant once it has all cured, to help with the longevity of the birdbath. Good luck!

That's an oncidium being repotted. I know the Australian varieties have broad leaves but these don't look like Cymbidiums. But potting demonstration noted.

I propagated 5 bougainvillea from new growth not hardwood cuttings so what you say isnt always true. Ive also repotted those same 5 bougainvillea, removed most of the dirt, and cut off some thinner roots. Our plants are never in bags so they have to be removed from the store pot

Wow!That's amazing ms Tanya. I will do the same thing but I will it bigger about 9ft×3ft×2ft. It seems like it's easier and cheaper to constract than building a concrete raised pond which is made of hallow blocks.

Beautiful arrangement. However, I’m sorry but I missed the name of the spray that you sprayed the plants leaves with to make them shiny. Keep the dust off the leaves.

As I was watering my Clivias today, I was wondering what to do about the Moles chomping away on them. I love watching your channel, but a request please, my garden is very shady and we live in Krugersdorp with black frost in winter. Would appreciate some advice on plants that can withstand heat in summer and cold in winter and that will either sow them selves or be grown with seeds like Clivias. Dink jy het groen vingers 😀

I would not call what you have installed at your home "floating steps" - they are rather large raised pavers. Floating steps have a smaller concrete plinth underneath to make it look like the steps are indeed floating in the air. Some other observations: 1. I would add rebar 2. I would NOT plaster the steps as plaster is not hardy and will chip off 3. I would remove the shuttering whilst the concrete has started to set and cure and can still be worked and would finish the edges 4. If I was going to plaster the paver I would dampen the concrete before plastering to avoid moisture in the plaster being sucked out Having said that, your large raised pavers do look good in situ.

Ok, not coprosma related but still a garden problem.. why are the unripe figs dropping off the tree? Pls help.
@TanyaVisserTheGardener2 ай бұрын
Hi Virginia, your plant may need more regular watering and feeding, as this is a 'stress' response. The tree is unable to support the production of all of the fruit so it drops them.
