Thanks a lot! Not necessarily. They can be done with kipping also. If a particular gym wants to do the event with strict (mandatory), then OK. Alternatively, it can be done also with kip.

Please explain to me how I can see what my fitness level would be based on that Level board. I have read before some questions and your answers through comments. I also did some online research, but I still don't know how to calculate my level/color, so I can scale correctly the exercises. Thanks
@GON.Lifting
@GON.Lifting 19 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment, good question! I don't think that you can calculate the exact level without using the app, and I am not sure that I can answer to your question in the right way (in text). I will definitely make a video about this, so you'll understand. The colors are like in karate, from white to black belt. Something like this... but, like in karate, you would need to do specific exercises with a certain intensity or weights, so you could progress in time. Basically you have some tests and movements which will uncover your color/category; and in the end, you will gain an overall fitness color, so you'll know exactly where you are in your fitness journey (and where and how to progress).

I am 70yrs old and started weightlifting last two months, every second day, one hour a session..I started with 10kg and the bar, and next day I could hardly walk..so I dropped it back to 5kg and bar, and took my time in increasing the weights..so six weeks now and 30kg -40kg, and still no hurry..got to master all technic...your video is of some interest to me, in how you programmed your week...thanks
@GON.Lifting
@GON.Lifting Ай бұрын
Thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate you took the time to write this. Great job! Doing technical work is the most important aspect. Then, the weights will follow. First, an athlete needs to master the PVC bar, then the training bar, all the way up to the 20kg bar + weights. When I was younger thought that I know things, and I got injured... now, I also take my time and do things properly. Regarding the programming, I always document what I do, in every video I post I show the workout in the beginning; and in this video, I thought it would be interesting to show everything in 1 clip :) Thank you, and keep on being active.

I saw also the last clip of this cycle, and it reinforced my thoughts on this PR (since you didn't manage to stabilize 95 then). I think it is a mistake to stop a good session, and just "leave something extra" for another day. Even if you said that it was enough, you still had energy to lift more... Personally, when I'm super focused and have a great session, I go for it. Because I don't know when I'll have another one like it and maybe never lift those numbers again. Just think about that, and compare this session with the end of this program. Don't take this the wrong way, still great lifts, just a recommendation for the future 🙏💪

Thanks for your feedback. Please explain a bit, so I can pay attention next time. Are you referring to the deficit pulls? If so, then I must say that this exercise wasn't with slow lowering, but just focus on the actual pull. I completely agree, and I also had some pains some time ago. Since then, I put the ego in my back pocket and stopped using it :) I took it easier. I remember this day, indeed... I felt it pretty heavy in the end, but not something too extraordinary

Thanks for the comments. Yes, this board is a fitness level progression. Just like in Karate, where athletes have different belts/levels, this is for fitness. It is a methodology used based on each athlete level.

Thanks for your comment. Actually, there are 2 boards like this in the gym, so athletes can easily use it, this is why "it keeps showing" in my videos :) but regarding the details, I gave some examples in the past. It is a "map" of progression, for all levels of athletes.
