Done 7 out of 10 also but haven’t done Zoncalan and Angliru and the last one (which seems to be off road). Mortirolo was horrible, no wish to do it again

Same here, and Monte Zoncolan is also the hardest of those I've done in the list.

As a cyclo race fan of belgium I agree unthill now. But ad least number 5 wil be replaced in 6 years. His place wil be taken by Remco Evenepoel. When he was still 23 he alreddy won 50 prof stages. Knowing he lost 2 years of racing , faling into that ravine what cost him 2 years to recover completely. Maybe afther that fall he will maybe not gain that awsomme level annymore as before. But he is doing great . But overall between Merkx and evenepoel we only had good 1day racers but never again a tourwinner unthill now with remco. As a fan Of Wout van Aert it was pitty he lost his 2 jersey's in the last vuelta because of a fall . In Belgium itself Wout is the most popular cyclist because he always ride in the front and wins lots of races. He also won 9 tour stages one was a double clime over the mount ventoux. He won that with 5 minits ahead of the peleton. for 100km he did it all allone. Somme people calling him a machiene ! he is the number 3 -4 in the world ?? And afther all that glory he remains a usual guy ! probably the biggets reason... And now belgium have somme upcomming talents , Wait watch and see ;-)

These are two exceptionally talented young cyclists with their whole careers ahead of them. They still have plenty of time to develop and achieve great success, potentially earning a place among the top 5 in the future. Wout is a versatile all-rounder who excels in both cyclocross and road cycling. He has impressive strength and remarkable speed, making him competitive in virtually every discipline. In contrast, Evenepoel stands out as one of the best climbers in the world, showcasing exceptional performance in the mountains. But knocking Eddy Merckx off the top spot will be very challenging, as he still holds the record for the most victories in a single year-an incredible 54 victories in a single year is outstanding.

@@ProCycleInsights You didnt understand me 100% Non of those 2 talents will achieve the first 4 of the riders of the past. But in time there is a big chanse Remco will becomme place 5. The first 4 won so much because they raced every race there was. Now lot of riders chosing there races and so race less overall. So they never can reach the prestations of the older generation. They where all exeptional good bike racers. Wout is magnificent but he just became 30 years old, and he will end in the top 10 belgian riders all time for sure. wout is a rock you can build on and he is always in front of the peleton....

Passo del Mortirolo's images are wrong. They show Passo dello Stelvio (the Bormio side)

I thought so too. The M is a cow path. I think that footage might be Stelvio as well.

He isn't a 7 time world champion?
@ProCycleInsights8 күн бұрын
Not after he have been stripped from all his titles
@scooter21638 күн бұрын
@@ProCycleInsights First of all, winning the Tour de France is NOT a world championship. The world championship bike race is a one day event, which he did win in Oslo in 1993. And that record has NOT been stripped. The 7 consecutive Tour de France 'victories' from 1999 thru 2005 WERE STRIPPED, as well they should have been. Cheats are the lowest form of athlete, and they always will be.

@ProCycleInsights12 күн бұрын
It was the other way around. Lance Armstrong waited for Jan Ullrich after Ullrich misjudged a turn, went in far too fast, and crashed. Lance didn’t want to take advantage of the situation, so he waited, even though he already had a five-minute lead on the rest of the field.
