@ChuffingNorah I actually knew the real character who Stavros was based upon. He had a small Kebab shop on Mare Street in Hackney, and spoke that strange mixture of Cockney & Greek. This was around 1979. Paul Whitehouse worked at Hackney Council just up the road, not far from the shop. Strange but True.

I watched this show in anticipation of having a good old laugh at the much loved comics from years gone by. All was going very well until much confused, with full female makeup pervert arrived at the end calling itself a Transgender! Why on earth it felt it needed to suddenly strip off (after playing the piano to a very aggressive, and unfunny self written song), to full nudity, exposing implanted plastic boobs, and playing the piano with it's D**k, is absolutely beyond me and, to my mind is an absolute insult to those that genuinely feel they are in the wrong body!! I have not watched this crap since and don't even know if it is still on TV! Quite frankly, Ben Elton and his awful show should never be aired again!!
