The fans want it so they play it. Maybe Dennis can sing it. He still has the chops and wrote half of what they play. I cant see them without Dennis.

Absolutely undescribable performance, despite the obvious deterioration on Mike's voice, it was a stunning gig with undisputedly vibrant vibes and nostalgia <3333!

Its kind of sad that he has to play the Hard Rock like 50 years after this song was first recorded.

So they perform this song now while saying they hate Dennis DeYoung and the Kilroy Was Here album. And they hate that Dennis DeYoung was theatrical and yet they are theatrical in their live concerts. JY is such a hypocritical narcissist.

Thank you for this great recording. My wife and I were there. Always loved Styx but hadn't seen them live, and they blew me away (particularly considering all of our ages, collectively). Their energy, especially the singer's in this particular song and Superstars, though all were great, lifted my spirits to a level I really needed. Thanks again! By the way, I'm a big Genesis fan as well. Happy 2025!

What an incredible show. Did anyone catch that Tommy slipped going up the steps? His guitar hit the steps and I believe it knocked it out of tune, and you could see him trying to get the sound better once he comes down the stairs again.

Styx needs to boot Cronin off the summer tour and add these guys. Obviously tickets aren't even selling at 20% and Cronin will put everyone to sleep with his long drawn out stories.

What a fucking shambles. They don't sound anything like the Little River Band . . . oh wait . . . that's because they're NOT the Little River Band. They are a cover band warbling through a classic song and murdering it in the process. What a shit attempt at this song.
@gizmotron86794 ай бұрын
Also . . . it's hilarious how those two guitarists throw their picks into the crowd like they are famous or something, then Nelson says 'Florida what do you think?' . . . Well I think it's a steaming turd of a cover band. And when he talks about the band breaking in 1975 like any of them were there. SAD SAD SAD.

Oh my goodness this just doesn't sound right without the original performer's, Dave, Rachel, Danny, Andy and tragically David ,maybe let's remember how it should be done with the Four classic versions already released, this piece deserves the best player's.

Listen to the 'Flare' recording - this is a poor one. No, it won't sound the same; 'Empire' is a fantastic live recording. However, see them live! This line up are going places.
@stuartwaby30812 ай бұрын
@@martincritchley5233 Agree, i now have the "Flare" set and the whole performance is truly wonderful, Rikard and Nick are superb at swapping instruments and filling in the gaps, my comments were based on a poor quality youtube video as you point out and hopefully this is now rectified.
