Heya its Blake one of your old students from years ago, i've been trying for years to find this song we covered in one of your theory lessons and I can't seem to find it anywhere was hoping maybe you'd remember the song, it was called "Accidentally" I believe, by a man with a big ginger beard, very powerful voice and has a recognised pianist playing with him in a studio live recording version of the song. The only lyrics I remember is " I don't wanna see you accidentally". let me know if you have any inkling of what this piece is called 😅

This song I heavy on my mind and i don’t have the patience to figure out all the smooshy chords, though my first blush attempt wasn’t terrible. Has a very hymn like quality. Thanks.

Beautiful Michael, I second what Miguel said I’m actually in London open to be considered for a student but will happily maintain lessons from home and your previous video. Glad to see you upload also ❤🤞🏿

Hi! I'd love to become a student but I'm not sure where you give classes or how to contact you. I live near London. Would you be able to consider taking new students at this time? Thanks!

Hello @Michael Allen! Thank you for sharing. I love your videos and the artists whose songs you analyze, like Tom Misch or Alfa Mist. I would love to take jazz piano lessons and I think you are a great teacher. Do you give private lessons by any chance? I've tried to find your contact details but I've had no luck. Please let me know if this is something you would consider! Best wishes and thanks again for spreading your knowledge and love for music.

Hahaha this is cool to see- I had to immediately learn this bassline right after I heard it too! I used to struggle so much and was totally lost when it came to basslines. I'm still a beginner, but a few things I started learning to incorporate that REALLY helped were 1) effective use of chord tones, 2) importance of phrasing (both rhythmic and melodic, but ESP the former), and syncopation. To me this bassline is a prime example of how infectious a bassline can feel, just making good use of those basic components.

Hey! Thank you very much for your tutorials. @5:12 I was wondering why you could add a sharp 9 when playing the B7 flat 13 because it seems the B7 chord functions as a phrygian secondary dominant meaning that a flat 9 is to be expected along with the flat 13 (so C as the flat 9 instead of D as a sharp 9).
