Why is the engine way easier to throw together than the carb 😃

Well- I got my 250x all disassembled last night- got frustrated and started drinking. Now I've forgotten everything and need to try to put it back together. Thanks to this video- I shouldn't have too much trouble.

Easier to rotate the carb by hand to break the boot to carb. Just loosen both sides. Push and pull on the bowl and Voila your carb will pivot enough to break the bond. On an X model 450 its easier to remove the wire hook that is bolted to the frame just above the carb after you pull the tank. I loosen the sub frame bolts, remove the both bottoms and pivot it up and out of the way. Tighten a bolt to hold it there. I do not pull the rear shock. The carb can be pulled up and out. It ain't easy as it is with the shock removed. But you don't have to do all that to pull the carb.

As Awesome honda said, much quicker way....too many steps here. No stand needed, no pulling the rear shock or sub frame. Unbolt the cables from the handle bars and fish them back through the bottom with the carb, warm the intake boots to make them a little softer/ easier to work with. I had the carb down and out through the left side in less than 20 mins. Very thorough and informative video though.

That is way to may steps there is a way easier way. Way... way easier.

Thank you for posting this video. I have a 2005 CRF450X, and this video made removing the carb and putting it back together fairly pain free. First time I've ever worked on a bike, so the steps were very helpful.

Hi well I followed your video to ever single detail. I did not replace the carb. just cleaned it very well. surprisingly IT HELPED A LOT!!. but, not its leaking gas I didn't adjust the gas yet i'm guessing its just running to rich but, i'm not sure any ideas?
