My sending email is always showing the reply_to same as my Catch Alias even though I have set the <field name="reply_to">my email <field>. It's exhausting to find out a solution. Do you have ideas? It seems it is the default behavior of odoo.

are you setting correctly From Filtering? Then is you email server allowing sending as other domain or other mailbox?

because Algolia credentials are not loaded on the demo, if you spin your instance and use your Algolia it will work

yes correct. Odoo will just use that catchall mailbox to operate.

So this [email protected] has many aliases as you say, are those aliases created on the mail server side every time you want to associate an alias to a function in Odoo with Odoo's alias? Also what email does your admin account on odoo use, I assume this is also set to [email protected]? Then for the catchall parameters, you have not set this to [email protected] yet it is set to [email protected]. So is catchall an alias that needs to exist on the mail server side? Is it recommended to have more then one mailbox on the mail server side or can all be done with the one account [email protected] as long as you set all the aliases on mail server? I'm still confused, I feel like I'm missing something

I've heard that the Odoo R&D team uses Linux Mint, any insight on Unbuntu vs LinuxMint in a Odoo dev context ?

Myself I've used Mint, Lubuntu and now I chose Ubuntu/Gnome as it has everything I need to be productive. I guess the R&D team not only uses Mint but also use other Desktops. It's not about the tool but about what you do with it ;)

From what I heard, they use mint or Ubuntu gnome and even other flavours. There is no established policy . Mint is fine, I've used it in the past. Most importantly, try to use Ubuntu LTS because that's what Odoo sh uses

You did not create the incomin email account cahtchall. I do not understand. The explanation is incomplete. You speak about a catchall incoming acount , but you dont explain. I am now more confused than before. Thank yoy very much.

You would need to move the Odoo server to a datacenter and add a VPN or just use MFA

hi @Souki If you use Odoo.sh (PaaS) or Odoo online (SaaS) then Odoo will setup an email server for you, if you are self hosted then you need to have your own email server. Also, even being on Odoo PaaS or SaaS you might need your own email server because Odoo email servers might have some limitations on quota

This is not working on separate odoo server and email server. and try with different sales account. I am trying with odoo 14

should not be different, problem should be on the email server it self, read carefully the bounce messages some email servers are very demanding
