Oh how I used to love seeing these commercials back in the 90s! My favorite was the one where they hold auditions and Jerry Lewis is in it, along with several other people doing varying renditions of the "Uh-huh" song, including an opera and a heavy metal version! 😂😂 On a side note, in 1992, my sister was randomly chosen to receive a gift pack from Diet Pepsi, including a couple cases of Diet Pepsi and all kinds of merchandise featuring Ray Charles and his singing girls, such as a poster and other items. I remember she gave me this pop-out Ray Charles wall picture, which I'm sure I still have somewhere. 😊 On yet another side note, I had a dream quite a few years ago that I met Ray Charles and Michael Hutchence (of INXS). They did do a duet together on the "Full Moon, Dirty Hearts" album in 1993.

Always wondered what Mr. Plinkett was referencing in one of his reviews. I'm guessing this company when bankrupt quite some time ago as I've never heard of it.

The trophy itself and let’s be honest I wasn’t sure if I liked it or not but let’s be real. It’s an ugly trophy.

Amazing vid, BK. I realllllly have to get better at servicing my units. I have a Betacam unit that doesn't take tapes right now (something with the tape transport & door) and I have no idea how to repair that. My Umatic is okay for the time being but, from what I understand anecdotally, it will require servicing at some point (they're finicky).
