Hard to believe that this video is 16 years old. I don't think much has changed.

John, I worked at the old warehouse in 1973 and can’t remember where it was. It seems it was close to and behind TU. Thanks.

@@thethirdrailchannel I don’t know exactly either but your general description sounds right because Wally used to talk about Transy as a great customer and gave them same-day service. It was quite an expansion when he built the Nandino Blvd. location.

@@JohnKelm Thanks for the reply. After posting this question, I found a website with aerial photos of the area from 1971. The warehouse was on the corner of Upper and 3rd St. That's a ballfield now. Thanks again.

@@thethirdrailchannel Thanks for your reply. I moved from LEX in 1996 to work for a competitor in Chicago. LEX was a great place to live. I lived on Halifax Drive.

I found it interesting that the only commercial I found truly irritating was for the Ford car dealership in Virginia. Some things never change....to this day car dealership ads are by far the most annoying. Overall this was a wonderful aircheck. It sounds like peak civilization to me.

I was looking for something else about this guy. I remember (just coincidentally) back when Star Wars came out, he panned it. Then a couple weeks later he “reviewed” it again. Like he hadn’t already. This time he liked it.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Very helpful.
Q. Who signed off from the all night show prior to Harden & Weaver coming on at 6AM, with the MORNING MARCH? Was that Bill Mayhue? He'd say run a mile e every day, and then would play The Onion Song!😂

Hollywood movies often try to recreate these days of yore but you can always tell it's fake. The actors can't completely get out of the time they are in and everybody just tries too hard.

Now there are shops where most of the moving walkways used to be. The CTA station ripped theirs out too. When you’ve been flying to MDW for 15 years, you notice these things.

so glad Leno took over from Carson. He was so boring his last 15 years. I watched Carson almost every night from the 60's and on. He had no competition either. Carson was just a rich bitter old man.

WMAL really took a bit when they lost the Redskins. That started the down fall. I remember when I worked at R.F.K. I saw the little transmitter. It looked like a little black box with a long antenna on the top. And to pick up the crowd noise,a Mike hanging down from the booth.
