I use the monorail every time I’m in Japan . Easiest way to get to the Yamanote line and onto Ikebukuro for me . But once at the Yamanote line you can connect to anywhere in Tokyo

Nope, stilllll working on the 2019 edits! Trickling them out slower than molasses. Lol It's been a crazy time. We just moved 2500 miles and are settling in to our new place. Maybe now I'll have time to edit some more videos in the nearish future. How have you been?

@@KplusJinJapan Is that 2,500 miles towards the west as in like closer to Japan or further now? Whenever you make it back, do a squeal by visiting the conbini and review more white shirts. Before and after a wash.

@@yopparaiiii Technically we're closer now but sadly, we moved away from an airport with a direct flight to Japan. We'd just have to fly back there on our way. 🤣 I'm sure we could come up with a few creative things to do with conbini Ts!

I love this place! The reservation is highly competitive! I had to book in advance (they have their reservation period and it is probably fully booked pretty fast). I was lucky enough to be able to book it for 2 nights on the first floor. The bed was very spacious with a quite spacious private space on the side (for those who stay on the bottom beds). Most of the floor is wooden so there’s a sign saying that please walk quietly during the night and the heating for water is limited to some certain period of the day! Though the location is not very central to the tourist areas, but the experience is worth it! Thank you for filming the video! It brought me back good old memories!

Sorry for the late reply. KZbin didn't let me know there was a comment.... The dates of when we did things are always on the screen at the beginning of the videos as well as in the descriptions - but yeah, pretty much. Our trip to Aomori was at the end of October.

I just booked two nights here in April and I'm so excited! Also I have a blocked ear at the moment but is that like an acoustic version of Megitsune playing in the background? I did a double-take cause I thought I'd left my Babymetal playlist going somewhere...
@KplusJinJapan
@KplusJinJapan Жыл бұрын
Ooh, nice! Enjoy your stay. We're jealous - wish we could be in Japan too. The background music is Jason's cover of "Sakura Sakura", a very famous traditional Japanese folk song. Babymetal sort of samples it in the middle of Megitsune, so technically, you're not wrong! 🤣

Ghibli website via Lawson, now has ticket sales open to foreign residents. But they go very fast because they only allot 6 slots per entry time. The tickets for this March were literally all gone 18 minutes after they went on sale. Now for the Japanese side of Lawson's, with the exception of the first 2 weekends in March, everything was wide open. Our hotel is/was useless in assisting us, so I gave it a chance that by using a VPN that I would been able to fake being in Japan. I set up the Lawson account using my email and phone number, but used my hotel as the address. I used on-line websites to convert my name into kanji and katakana. Sign up was a bit of multi-tasking, but it worked. By doing it this way, I was able to secure tickets on the date and time we wanted with no issues. Also JTB and the tour companies in Japan like Viator and Klook are not selling any Ghibli museum tickets at all. That is supposed to change by the end of the year.

So, my take is, go to restaurant where the vending machine has some English in it so that it's a indicator that you'll be fine if you are still beginning to learn japanese. And if the menu on rhe machine is purely japanese, then it's time to either risk it or walk to another place.
@makotonarukami7468
@makotonarukami7468 Жыл бұрын
Seeing this is very helpful. I'm going solo to Japan for 14 days ij 2023 and was wondering if they had plenty of English vending machine restaurants where I order and enter the restaurant table, and wait for the food. Of course still going to learn basic restaurant speech/public everyday basis, and manners. Going to have my Google translate, and map on hand. But the thing is, I heard that if I wanna get a Sim card to work while there I need to have an unlocked smart phone OR there is always the option of a portable Hotspot, because I'm guessing the capsule hotel I'll be at will have the wifi as I turn on the mobile Hotspot during the day in a very limited kind of way.
