This is so fascinating. As a lifelong resident of the Portland area, I’m obsessed with the city’s history how it changed over time. If you can find a copy of William John Hawkins “The Grand Era of Cast Iron Architecture in Portland” it’s a great resource to learning more about all the beautiful cast iron faced buildings Portland had.

So very honored to be the first to post here on this absolutely wonderful group of young men and women, led by Eriks Esenvalds. What ethereal sounds and vibrations emanate from these so very talented singers! Remarkable does not even begin to describe the sensation of hearing...nay!...being absorbed by their music. To call them "singers" is almost a pejorative term. They are, each one, masters of the human voice. I was just surfing the net and stumbled upon an advert for Spotify. I followed where it led. I have loved classical music for over 50 years, particularly the sacred choral music genre, specifically Gabriel Faure's Requiem. I don't know how it happened, but right after the closing of Faure's "Requiem", a recording of the Portland State University Chamber Choir rendition of "O salutaris hostia" began playing. Now 5 hours later, I cannot get this so very stirring and moving music out of my ears...thankfully! It brings this older gentleman to tears. Who can fear the last moments of life on this earth after hearing O salutaris hostia??

We are still slaves sista ... America's nothing but a penal colony..don't let these other nations blindside white supremacy and it's effect throughout American history.. How much land wealth and resources was stolen from black people all throughout American history.. Dr Claude Anderson explains this in his books .. Books you should check out explaining systematic white supremacy are Building the Prison State: Race and the Politics of Mass Incarceration by Heather Schoenfeld , Black labor equals white wealth by Dr. Claude Anderson, Dirty Little Secrets About Black History : Its Heroes & Other Troublemakers by Dr. Claude Anderson, And How Slaves Built America (Slavery in America) by Ph.D. Harris Duchess.... All good reads

exactly sister.. a lot of black people have no understanding of how they are still slaves in what we know as America... They couldn't even explain to you the geopolitical structure of America but somehow tell you that we are free LOL... We literally live in a penal colony where we are contractual debt slaves.... Dr. Claud Anderson explains this in a lot of his books.

2024 and the wound still runs deep. The depth of the transgression has no end. I will go to my grave an angry black man! I am 51 yrs old and in my lifetime I have known another human being who has known another human being who had been a slave in America. My grandfather told me stories as a child about how his Grandmother, my Great Great Grandmother , used to tell him stories of when she was a little girl and they were slaves and how they were fed out of troughs and things like that. We are a resilient and amazing people but we have been robbed of so much by those that transgressed against us as we still exist in the land of our captors.

I don't understand the mentality of hate for the black being with a much greater hatetric than other lighter mellinated bodies. That picture of them at that black body humans lynching. So when I am eye to eye looking at them I am now in deep thought wondering what was this looking back at me in 2024, I mean I know what's in my natural mine thought I new some what was in theirs, so imagine when I first saw this photo of this lynchings I knew than I didn't have any Idea of what was looking back at me. At the least there has to be two different diffination of a human being.

Remember: every single bad thing in your life is because whiite people have magical, invisible oppression powers. It's not because you're lazy or weak or foolish or stupid. Never change. Never grow or improve or mature. Never do anything to improve yourself or your life. Just keep blaming whiite people for everything that goes wrong in your life. And when someone points out that Asians are making far more money on average than whiite people in the USA, yell meaningless neo-marxist slogans.
