I think it is important to note that this is a tool that should be used in conjunction with accredited therapy. I did the training for eCPR and it can open wounds and traumas. If you don't have support available if something big is triggered, it can be (re)traumatizing. As a colleague put it, CPR is meant to revive people before they get professional attention. The same should apply to eCPR.

I followed a workshop about emotional CPR today. I would like yo know how and where did you find out there is no neuro biological basis for mental illness?

all good n great .. just delete 02:17 to 02:30 that statement is not correct, not factual on 2 counts .. no need for me to explain further, just know that it is not accurate or correct - so best not to make statements in such a good informative video in 2018 that speaks of a not-yet evidence based practice with great results (WRAP), those 13 seconds reduce your credibility enormously and do not add value to this educational - not film and animation - video category (it may actually contravene youtube terms and conditions, so please be mindful) thankyou

I'm curious where you are from...land acknowledgement is common practice here in Canada, as part of national Truth and Reconciliation efforts.

Psychosocial Rehabilitation Advanced Practice ... Curiosity is a good trait. I,m Canadian, 8th generation. I know of some ongoing never ending reconciliation efforts and self-blaming shame efforts. I just don't know what this has to do with your webcast, or your discipline. Would you consider that your words and messaging in those few seconds may actually be triggers (or stressors) to some viewers. A focused approach to your primary expertise and messaging (WRAP) may be better served without that little bit, those few seconds. Are you fully aware and have proven evidence of your so-called reconciliation message - the land statement. Are you confident, I mean legally speaking confident, that you can make that statement publicly and on KZbin. Do you understand the Terms and Conditions you,ve agreed to with KZbin? I love WRAP, been there done that, and I like what you do. I just ask you to ask yourself .. WHY? Why did you say that in this video? Use the T.H.I.N.K. model and also consider the legalities of KZbin and the principles of truth and accuracy .. What you stated is not accurate, in principle, context and legal land use and authorities having jurisdiction.

@@dtSFA-2023 Thank you for your thoughts. This webinar is sponsored by Douglas College in New West & land acknowledgment is the usual practice. We haven't ever had any complaints about this before, and I will forward them to the manager of our program.

@@PsyrehabCa : please don't misunderstand me .. (1) you do good work .. I'm an active PFA (patient.family.advisor) and SFA (student.F.A) and I love to learn and improve .. an i purposely keep up with info from good people and good places like your organization (I'm formerly from BC but now I'm in Ontario, I'll return in a few years when my work is done here) (2) you will know that few people come out and complain, there often is a true silent majority, so always ask yourself "why", be mindful of 'fad' and 'fashion', political correctness and the rest of it can sometimes swing too far one side and while it tries to address the 'few' it may affect the 'many' (3) triggers have many shapes and sizes - they are not always so popular (4) I know many from our First Nations and I've worked with many and - just one man's opinion with anecdotal evidence - they do not care for this 'land statement', they consider it hypocritical and if you asked them they'd say it bugs them more than helps them (5) land statements need to be very (very) accurate and you'd need to be a research lawyer with a minor degree in anthropology and history to get it right - you're bound to be wrong most often - it's an 80/20 rule - so you're best to be very generic in your land statement (6) be mindful that 'land statements' start with a simple one or two liner and then turn into long winded social justice statements which shame many Canadians with long traditions of their own (7) I suspect Douglas College is like many other advanced education institutions - they follow others .. consider your own College identity, use public statements very carefully so as not to 'exclude' or 'trigger' or 'shame' (8) be mindful of the KZbin policies and what you provide to them by way of consent and content - I'm just one man living as a proud white male Canadian with a proud family tradition from French Canadian and Irish roots from the 18th century who has contributed in many ways to improvements to my community and my country and I even have First nations relatives - but I don't worry about KZbin as i suggest and suspect an institution like Douglas College would (worry about KZbin) kind regards, keep making Vlogs, Webcasts and good Mental Health Content

Great stuff... just a few more details I guess and to clean up the video work cuts and transitions --- besides blank audio sections while the video goes...wrap for me was intensive therapy one on one. --- but getting down to triggers and urges that start the relapse so we can stop this and recover right there as soon awareness of the relapse trigger occurs.
