BECIUoW

BECI (Built Environment for Collaboration and Integration), at the University of Westminster is an initiative led by the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment. One aspect of this initiative is a knowledge share platform that can be accessed via the web. This platform will not only help bridge the gap between academia and industry but also allow industry, in particular the supply chain, to benefit from the sharing of knowledge on projects that have used BIM and/ or collaborative behaviours and integrated practices.

In addition to the knowledge share aspect the BECi project has three streams of activity. These are:
1) Industry informed teaching and learning
2) Practice led Collaborative Research
3) Business relevant organisational and workforce development initiatives
