Há que ver as coisas pelo lado positivo. És calmo, confiantemente vagaroso e poes em prática os conhecimentos de mecânica para manter a viatura de que fruis no dia a dia. Tens tempo e paciência para ser metódico e ao mesmo, no meio do cansaço ou da doença, trocar a lâmpada, apontar o farol, mudar a roda e encontrar o furo. Vomitaste em frente à câmara as três equivalências de pressão. Bravo! Só te esqueceste de mostrar a cara virado para a luz, na despedida. It appears that you live quite some distance from civilization. It appears to be very arid there, though there is much vegetation. I am curious what prompted you to begin making videos. Stay well. Cheers from Lincoln, NE. USA. In Florida, USA there are plants that grow along the shoreline called Oleander. Years ago, before people knew better they would use the Oleander for firewood. The plant is poisonous when burned and people died from cooking on it. Interesting trip in the old Peugot.

What do you listen for when doing it this way and how do you know when it's right? On the video i can't really hear any difference in sound of the engine. Doesn't the injection timing change a little bit for each cylinder if you adjust the pressures?

Hi. I put grease on the head screws or copper anti lock. The threads strip out of the block . I scraped thous motors. And I also had bolts that kept on turning and stretched by the threads . I don't torque them with 70 nm and then 120 degrees, max 85 nm.

Hi . No on the outside yes . The inside of the pump is so designed to deliver just the right amount of fuel for that motor it's fitted to . This means you can't fit the XD 3 pump onto a XD 2 or on a lager or smaller capacity motor. I hope the answer was use full.

I took my dpcR 844 pump apart i foundation out why it not started and the solenoid not cutting off the fuel the engine oil was thin as water., front seal of the pump was gone ! Diesel shops charge 700 euro repair cost ! But with your video.s its makes it better undestandable ! Engine is xd3t and is in my Daf 400 van (ldv 400)

You have to fit the clutch housing ( bellhousing ) of the XD2 engine.

Are the screw attachment points from the engine block to the clutch bell identical on all XD engines? So those from the XD2, XD2S, XD3, XD3T? Hi. The XD 90 , XD 2 's and XD 3 's fitted to France vehicles have the same size flywheel 's and bell (clutch) housings.

@@charleserickson7503 Thank you for the information. I suspected it, but was of course completely unsure. Then at least the assembly on the flywheel side is identical, regardless of where the engines were used. Because these engines were used not only by Peugeot but also by Ford, Land Rover, UAZ and others. The bell (clutch) housing may differ towards the gearbox, but not the position of the screws on the engine block. In other words, you could use all variants, from the XD90 to the XD2(S) to the XD3(T & TE) where any of these XD engines were previously installed.

Have you noticed any difference in coolant circulation with the different kinds of aftermarket or original pumps? Here in holland the pumps range from €50 to €300. every impeller looks different. I bought a cheaper one to replace the worn original one but keep having issues with cooling in my boat, feels like it isn't flowing enough coolant. are the pumps for XD(P)88 any different compared to XD2/3?

And each time He wiped the engine head, until its thickness was reduced, so he put two gaskets on the engine head, one of them metal and the other regular, so that the metal was on the side of the engine head so that no sound would occur. What do you think?

On the Petrol ( Gasoline ) motors some did that , putting on 2 gaskets or a gasket and a metal spacer. I use the thinnest gasket poseble . My pistons at top dead center must be as close to the cylinder head as possible 0,5 mm to 0,6mm.

Cleared it up for me I'm pretty much done on the cylinder head so I'm going to put the engine back together next saturday. I enjoy watching your videos on the old peugeot engines. I am from the Netherlands so sometimes I can also understand when you speak Afrikaans.

Hi there, do you keep the valve clearance on 0.25 for ever? My manual says to adjust to .25mm for inlet and .35mm for exhaust after replacing the head gasket and after first retightening. Only after 1200km's it says to adjust back to normal spec. But i am not sure all that is neccesary. I have a 1972 indenor(xdp4.88) in my pleasure craft.

Hi there sir , No I adjust them both to a clearance of 0,30 mm as the XD3 clearances must be. The real specifications are 0,15 mm In and 0,25 mm Exhaust . Keep well and bye bye.

Hallo sir . They are good ,It depends on the milage and how freak end they serviced it. Did it have a good coolant in the radiator , is there no corrosion or blocked water holes. Check out the oil pan ( sump ) first and oil pump for wear, then the timing chain . Here was a guy his %) 504 GLD had more than 450 000 km on the clock before something went wrong. Bye bye and enjoy it.

Hallo friend . I just use it as that , the valves must be 0,25 to 0,75 under flush with the face of the head then it should be fine. I hope this is of help . stay safe.

I have a xdp 4.88 with exactly the same problem. So i want to replace the head gasket. My part supplier no longer provides different thickness gaskets. Just 1 thickness for all. How do i know which thickness i have to get so i can just order it online? The gaskets also don't have notches anymore.. Is there a easy way to measure it?
