I have a move as well and it’s dope. But I am trying to be sensible, I really dig the op-xy but I am on the fence on if I should keep. Honestly, I have a great time while using it but is that worth the price of entry? What are your thoughts?

I'll be receiving mine tomorrow and I'm very excited about it. I want to use it for songwriting. My technical skills on guitar let alone piano are too low compared to my songwriting ambitions. I have no time nor any desire to learn to play these instruments properly. I play bass guitar but that's hardly a songwriting instrument😅. I hope this thing can fulfill my songwriting needs. BTW: I kinda share the criticism about this being a guitar. It isn't a guitar and it will not help you learn to play one. I'm afraid they marketed this wrong. It's a sampler that is not primarily made for a recording studio but for playing live. That it (vaguely) looks like a guitar doesn't make this any different. They could have called it "The Livesampler" (or something, blah) and keep the whole guitar referencing out. It should have been presented as a whole new type of instrument from the getgo. Now it's an easy score for the haters.

Got my OPXY coming. Found a used one. Cheaper and now I’ll keep it.

I couldn't find any decent videos on the Move in controller mode before I bought it.. most content on the Move was using it as a standalone. Now I have the Move I am starting to want a Push 2 or 3 and I'm not even a Ableton guy but this Move has opened up the software a lot for me. I hope the dev's give us some firmware updates though.. the Note app has more tracks and the Move has a lot of potential.

I think that TE came short on developing the op-z ecosystem. I mean, there is a whole shoplike ecosystem in the app that they could have been selling new synths and effects for it to complete the slots on the app so we could buy and select.

op-Z is brilliant , and am a bit sad they don’t build the opXY around the form factor and philosophy of the opZ. The app, the video… XXI century tool .

OB-4 is by far the best electronic product of XXI century. I had the black and bought the white now. I just wish TE let us to download some different chosen ambiance synth play from ortho app instead of Om Mani Padme sound . All the rest is from Alien engineer who land on earth. If it was double price I will buy it. Maybe the best gift you can buy for somebody you love.

I’d love if they made a push 3 standalone version for the iPad. Ableton note is uninspiring, yes quick beats can be made but the sounds suck. Maybe if we could load packs and have more controls and send effects then this would make me use it. Logic Pro on the iPad is hard to beat right now for functionality and quality sounds and the ability to use auv3’s
