I do not agree with the lyric that goes, "There has never been a reason . . . Whatever is is right, if only just because it's much too big to fight." Of course, its inclusion doesn't necessarily mean they believed it was true. It might be something one of them wishes they could unsay. It is in fact something widely believed that usually goes unspoken. But this is art. It conveys subjective feelings, thoughts, and impressions without necessarily saying they're true. It's a beautiful bittersweet song.
