It's all very professional and technical and all that, but I don't exactly get in a merry mood with this music. Plus, well, the lead vocals, on n'aime ou on n'aime pas, no in between... And to me he sounds a bit too nasal, a few songs are no problem, but a whole album, that's really too much. But I certainly hear plenty of good things in IQ's musical efforts, the gem quality of some of their compositions. Mixed feelings....

As a big IQ and prog rock fan, I still find this album awesome and refreshing. This song is on a par with everything great they've done. Besides, please keep in mind the context...THIS IS YEAR 1989!! (probably the least prog year in music history).

Just listening again to this sublime thing. OMG it's brilliant!

This is one of the most original songs ever written. Totally unique especially when it first came out. The only fault is that the violin solo at the end doesn't go on for at least half an hour. It really is that good! What an incredible song. Great great lyrics too. Don't Stand me Down is In my opinion easily in the top ten albums of all time. Genius. Very few songs or albums come close to this.
