Hi Richie I have a disklavier Grand I got in 1994 it has a DKG100R CTRL DKVII Ver. 1.20 with a TG100 Tone Generator. It looks like if I buy a Yamaha DKG850 and get your adapter board I can upgrade my piano. Is there a way I can still play my 3" floppies.

@@hayesiq thanks for the reply! I could not find the Learn mode on my first gen PDS128. However, by a long shot I found a software upgrade floppy disk from Sept 2002 on eBay (v 4.2a). I installed it and was able to access the learn mode! Took a while to calibrate each key, but wow what a difference! This system now sounds incredibly more nuanced and can actually play pianissimo dynamics without skipping every other note. Needless to say, this journey would not have gotten here without your video, so thank you for putting content out there for this niche market

I assume that the power would normally come from the Midi out port, but the pianodisc doesn't have a Midi out port.

Richie, I'm curious if you were to connect to the MIDI IN on the back of the QRS processor, do you get the same features and play back as opposed to going into the CD player midi port? I recently bought a baby grand that has the QRS pianomation 2000CD+ and am curious on how to get it up and streaming. Hammer and Keys has a blue tooth module I've ordered and am waiting for it to arrive to try it out, but was curious your thoughts on where to tie in the MIDI connection.

I have a Disklavia Yamaha U30BL acoustic piano and the module is a floppy disk Yamaha piano player control unit PPC10R. I purchased a MD-BT01 but this doesn’t work with piano stream. Wonder if you can tell me what to purchase so PIANOSTREAM will work with this module? I couldn’t see the PPC10R listed? I have replaced the floppy drive with a USB drive so maybe the USB midi Bluetooth connector will work instead?

So I have a 2004 started off with my trans stays in 3rd gear when I’m in drive won’t shift up or down just stuck in third I can manually shift down too 2nd and now when I put the car in drive or manual it jumps gears won’t stay in a gear just jumps rlly hard while car clunks and it’ll go from 3rd throw itself into first while I’m going like 30 so I stopped driving it idk what it could be or what too do any advice ?

@@georgejones8784 hello! Yes! It’s possible because Bluetooth has improved so much that it can actually handle a big encoded wave file with midi and audio data. It can also easily transmit midi data.

I had the exact same problem and was able to fix it for $30 in parts. Thanks Richie I have calibrated my PDS 128+ as per this video and it still plays too loud. I read that the power supply may be putting out more than 40V. Do you have any videos on how to check the output of the power supply and adjust it back to 40V if it’s too high? Thanks for all the great videos you do.

@@mistrot45 hello again. Have you tried using a Yamaha md-bt01 or Widi master with pianostream and the midi in/out on back of Pds 128+ control unit? You would need to put it into bypass mode. You could also try a direct connection right into the midi in on cpu. That might allow you to turn down the volume down farther than otherwise possible. Regarding the 40V There is a feature called “power offset” that your control unit might have. See if you can find it. Adjust it down a bit and see if that makes a difference. Could you send me a pic of your power supply? It might not be a bad idea just to replace it. If you did you could manually turn down the 40v. The power supply also outputs 10v and that part of the supply may be defective when placed under a load. I have a video demonstrating this somewhere. My email is [email protected] thanks talk soon. Richie, I have enjoyed all of your videos and I’m loving piano stream on my piano disc PDS 128+. My problem is that my volume is very loud and I’ve tried to calibrate it using the 1-4 mode function with the learn modality and set all of the volumes for each note around 10, but if I go lower like less than five, the songs do not play well - seems to be missing notes, is there any other way to reduce the volume on my unit. I didn’t mention that I have the volume all the way down using the control head volume button and it doesn’t matter whether it’s a Piano Stream song or a diskette song. Any help would be appreciated. @@mistrot45 hello! Have you tried connecting directly to the midi in on the cou and completely bypassing the control unit? Remember if you do that, however you will have to turn on the legacy volume scaling switch on the Bluetooth page of the app the digital side of the app that is. Is there any way to send MIDI from Pianostream to the Yamaha UD-WL01 Wireless LAN adapter that comes included with the Yamaha DGB1K ENST? The Enspire Controller App must be sending MIDI somehow...

@@rowanjoubert7925 hello. No. You have to use a midi device like the Yamaha md-bt01 or the widi master. The UD-WL01 just gives you a quick wireless WiFi (access point) connection to the piano.

I have a Yamaha G1 wagon grand (DOM-30 and DRC-24 all of which work perfectly). The BTO1 will work on it? Anything else that needs to be done? Also, will that only play solo and if not is there a way to get orchestration/vocals to work on the wagon grand as well?

@@ToddStonewall hello Todd. All you’ll need is a md-bt01 or Widi master midi device which I usually prefer since it connects automatically. Once you have that device you’ll use the digital side of pianostream. Aa far as vocals are concerned you’d need another Yamaha DCD1 or a dkc850 to make that happen. Problem is: Yamaha no longer supports any of those models. If they fail, you're on your own.

1.All pins are different in their head position, tuning heads will not fit all equally. 2. Not all strings are the same amount out if tune . 3. With huge torque if pins your hand will go numb with such short lever handle and weight of the hammer. Will not work out.

Indeed, it will be hard to get this on the pins so that may Negate the time savings to an extent. Prealignment of pins, maybe...there will need to be done allowance for play...another problem begging for a solution ...

I am desperately trying to figure out how to send midi files (standard midi files from ProTools) to the Disklavier. Everything I’ve tried has not worked. Hello! I imagine you could simply plug in a Widi master and then connect to it with ProTools if the software has that capability which I assume it does.
