Now what if it ripped off the entire spool completely? Can you tape the end the to the spool itself or does it have to go into that little slot on the spool? 🤦🏾‍♀️

Check any old tapes or sponges you find in an old deck. They become sticky over age and can hinder the arm.

In January of 1970, while on R & R in Hong Kong, I purchased a Sansui 5000A and a Miracord 50h at the China Fleet Club. I had the Sansui rehabed about 10 years ago, but never used it. The turntable has set for probably 30 years with out being used, but both still look great. I still have the giant Sansui speakers I purchased at the same Time. I would like to put all back in working order. WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND, especially for the 50h?

Cue, for a cost of £20, my system now sounds as if I'd replaced ALL my equipment with gear twice as expensive. Improvements noticed across the spectrum. 70 years a hifi enthusiast, and never before experienced an upgrade like it. Just saying...😊

Is the dustcover on this model SL-QD 33 supposed to be removable? I have the SL-QD3 and I have owned other p-mounts like these from Technics and all of them had easily removable dust covers except this QD 33. It seems locked in the hinges. Mine is the black version. Thanks.

Definitely take a listen to that Buena Vista Social Club produced by Ry Cooder which I have on vinyl, of course cleaned and preserved via my LP3.

No. 14 here. I had a similar find of CDs from a former neighbor here in Florida who used to own three night clubs in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He gave me more than 500 CDs which my wife and I and friends went through and sorted. My wife kept about 50 or so for her craft room stereo system and I kept about 300. The rest went to friends. As for your vinyl I have both of the Boney M records I saw. We saw them live in Mainz back in the late 1970s.

Hi. Congratulations on this beauty. It looks stunning. I have one of these too. But mine the stacking spindle doesn't work on the second record. The fisrt record plays until the end but when the second record supposed to be played automatically the tonearm stops and the platter stops spinning. Do you know how to fix that? Thanks for your video.

I am 75 Year old and since 1981. I have Technics SE-A808, ST-K808, SH-R808, SL-Q33, RS-M 250 and EVERYTHING works. Turntable is SL-Q33. SUPER turntable, I am happy. Technics for ever.
