I love decor as much as next person, which is why I have been collecting the decor I love furniture wise over last 6 years, and am so glad I did ,it's all classic ,won't go outta style. I have been collecting textiles I live, we remodeled our home in 2019 and nothing trendy, I can do trendy ,at Walmart to add which I probably won't, I like timeless,neutral and I can add color with throws and pillows and pillow covers, I am so happy I did all of that because buying food, and clothing and paying our bills.. I absolutely agree with the 2nd hand finds ,get the best stuff ,also made r3al and better than the crap they make now, also starting to wear real linen clothes and 100% organic cotton if possible , safer and very good vibrational for our bodies, and not all these fake plastic fabrics that don't let our skin breather and I say the same for furniture. I also got linen curtains, love them and never go outta style, trying to lessen ,LED lighting and ,it's very NOT HEALTHY. We have so much stuff in 2nd hand stores or people getting rid of ,and maybe with a little bit of work we can have a beautiful home, clothing, Lighting really is important ,cause LED is not healthy for us or our eyes! Happy decor!!

This was such a good common sense video. If only our culture had not embraced the disposable society. I have never really wanted to have a designer home; instead, I've been content in my adult journey (now retired) to use treasured items from relatives to furnish my home, with a few new pieces purchased over the years. Many of the older items are of the best quality hardwoods, refinished to update, but things that will last generations. I'ts been budget sustainability here, and downsized when the kids got older and moved out. This change in the way we've been coerced to live, through media advertisments, and the growth economy mindset, is something that is now really necessary to consider. I am a Canadian living in the now snowy woods of Ontario, and while I don't relish our current provincial Premier Doug Fords policies, I can see how he was goaded into the response he made regarding the transfer of electricity. It is time to speed up the just transitions away from using fossil fuels, and relying on other countries fuel sources, around the world. The whole distance manufacturing and global shipping is just too costly, for your budget and the environment. You are right, we need more craftspeople in our own communities, and need to teach that reusing, thrifting and upcycling are ways to support a sustainable environment. Sadly the items manufactured overseas are made where wages are very low, and manufacturing in our own countries would not support a living wage. But hey, can it be done if we shift away from a growth economy?

I'm 51 I have been married and divorced , I should have stuck to my original plan as a child to NEVER get married, I love going where I am called to go, the freedom of not having to be tied down to anything or anyone is so freeing. During perimenopause we as women go through emotional turmoil but what you do with that introspection is what's key. The music industry is payola if you don't have the resources to fund your own career it makes it hard to stay in the industry, I have a very talented friend who I have had to school about how to legally navigate the nonsense of the industry, and how to NEVER trust anyone in the industry because they will sell out their own kinfolk to stay relevant. The industry screwed you but call back all that belongs to you, what's your is yours.

New home construction is going to be significantly affected as around 80% of the US lumber supply is imported from Canada, making Canada the primary supplier of construction lumber to the US market......

We definitely have the human capital and the social media vehicles to effectively change the products we receive. I believe it can be done if we band together and demand better as a country. Great post hun!💖💗💖

Sorry, but it would take years and cost billions and billions of dollars to do this. The USA does not have the infrastructure or the trained workers to do this. Sad but true.
