Unbelievable how much graffiti’s on those units! At least BNSF doesn’t seem to have it that bad. Greetings from Tennessee.

I saw that second train up in Lancaster on May 30th. The only difference was there were 2 rotems and a bombardier car instead of 2 bombardiers and 1 rotem. #896 was still flashing them brand new LEDs. LOVE IT!!!

Thanks for the video. I worked for the Southern Pacific at the Taylor Yard Roundhouse back in the 1960s. Boy has the yard and the roundhouse changed! Thanks for letting me see the yard again.

I stood next to a train that close while traveling Europe for a month in 1992... but now that I work for the railroad, I'd never stand that close again. Be careful. I know it's not a freight train, but if anything is hanging off the side - you're dead. The company I work for recently passed a new rule that we have to watch other trains "from the ground". I did that one time... the train passed at 20. I was so incensed, I looked it up online .... 20 mph is 29 feet a second. If anything goes wrong, "you're dead". There is no outrunning that. The right of way on either side of the track is usually 20 feet... 1/4 a second response time for the average human. You have less than 75% of one second to jump out of the way. I complained to the union who sent my protest up to the brass. Like what if the only safe place is on private property. I can't trespass. If I sprain my ankle, am I afforded the same protections on railroad property? OK, sorry - I think too much. Cool video.
