5:14 To the right of the Brooklyn Bridge you can see the abandoned 161 Maiden Lane (also known as One Seaport, 1 Seaport, or Seaport Residences) is an incomplete 670 ft (205 m) tall residential building that lean 3 inches North. The upper half is dark in color with it's exposed, unfinished exterior. I remember after 9-11 doing this flight over Manhattan and around and wondered, "Is this a good idea knowing what happened?" I have visited NYC so many times, but it's great to experience an aerial perspective of the city like this video shows.

Those ultra skinny towers have ruined New York’s skyline. They look totally out of place and ugly.

Thanks for all your effort, I don't think I will ever get here. I have a small criminal record from over 30 years ago. The USA is very fussy.

Lived in NYC for about 6 years and flew out of LGA fairly often. IMO the Manhattan skyline approach from the Hudson and around the New York Bay into LaGuardia is one of the top ten most scenic landing/ take off approaches in the world, especially at sunset.

Very scenic view of Manhattan on this approach path a well done video.

Great vid of part of my home town, most of my working career in the financial district as a tech for XeroX. The city, especially Manhattan, the section of Brooklyn after you come across the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, and Long Island City in Queens has undergone so much construction in the past 10 years, a traffic nightmare. Some highlights below for those unfamiliar with NYC: 00:25 Central Park 00:51 Top center screen by the East River - The United Nations ( rectangular building) 00:59 Tall building at center screen - The Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden is the circular building at the bottom. 1:31 The Freedom Tower ( at center screen) where the World Trade Center towers once stood. Better view of it at 1:47 and 5:19. Brooklyn bridge on right, Manhattan bridge in center, Williamsburg bridge top left. 3:23 Governor's Island The Coast Guard had their operations buildings out there ( spent many a days fixing machines out there, great place to visit) 2:03 Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island. If you visit here, make sure you take home a few dozen of our prized foot long head to tail rats.. Don't worry, we have more than enough, we won't miss any.

Espero volver. Saludos desde Argentina

The plane was relatively empty, so I was able to decide spontaneously where I wanted to sit. I already had an idea of what to expect as I had already seen other landing approaches on KZbin.

Midtown is insane. You truly lose perspective of how tall some of the smaller buildings are sitting next to new behemoths.
