I went to that school, Court Fields in 1977/1978. I remember watching the film Grease in that cinema, too. That fence down the lane wasn't there back in the day, it was shorter than that one and I used to go cut through a space onto the lane as a shortcut home, it lead out to where the Milk Marketing Board used to be.... Happy Times there in the late seventies, Punk Rock was on its last legs i remember listening to Jilted John, The Skids on my radio on the walk home to Sylvan Road before they killed the old oak tree there and built on the land.... Happy days !

Many years ago now in my early teens we had our caravan , had for many years, in the odd storms we were in, my father would offer shelter even in the middle of the night, he would gear up and ask if anyone needed help or wanted to ride it out with us. Our caravan was 21ft Adria , the best memories, she was tied down with chains and stakes my dad got made , had 2 nights I remember in an caravan we had before an Abbey if memory serves, around 1am , again we were chained down, the wind was bad, we were the only ones on the site, it was gales, gusts kicking up 45+ , so my dad hitched her up and moved us behind the toilet building , I think we stayed in that toilet block most of the night, it was so scary, the caravan you could hear it chug on the chains as the gusts hit. I never liked the wind as a kid I was terrified of it for some reason. Now after staying on a windy section of the north east of Scotland UK my fear has calmed, though still very aware. Yep caravans and weather Phewww....,,,

That's what i do to check it's hot all the way through. Love the sandwich thins idea but i wouldn't do it Linda's sausages, sorry Linda 'looks up to heaven' I like my meat too much think I'd piratically cook real sausages all the way through but still do this with them.
