I can totally relate. I too cried, but that's a story for another day. I can hear the hurt in your voice whenever you recall the ordeal. Things like that are really hard to forget. Sending you a virtual hug cause I honestly understand what you went through and I know how hard it is to forget.

I'm listening from Vienna, Austria. Thanks for sharing your experience. I have been living in Austria for 14 years now and 8 years in London when I left Namibia. It is great to listen, especially the part about racism. I think racism when it is deeply in the mind; one will always feel the racial treatment. My advice is to be willing to adapt, join in, and enjoy your new environment.

I think we pay a lot in taxes but we do get a lot in return including excellent hospitals and schools; very good roads; great community facilities such as sport and recreation centres and public pools; beautiful, clean local parks and beaches.
