@@Rawsawhd I would like to see that as well. I recently did a screen build, and I have a question for you. Do you have any bowing with your screen. I noticed a little bowing on mine. It is like an 1/16th of an inch in the upper left corner and 1/16th of an inch in the lower right corner. I am thinking an inch velvet border will fix the issue. What do you suggest?

@@percybedford6266 The screen was made in Nov of 2019 and yes I have a bit of a bow which has caused a slight wrinkle on the bottom center. So I may re-stretch it. I currently have the Tekton Double Impact full size towers with the Wide Double impact Center channel and Pendragon surrounds..... Still have yet to bring someone home and not be blown away by their sound. Both for music and Movies. The Pendragons are great also, the full tower would have given you a bit more dynamics and deeper bass, but not sure if they would have fit there. great room!!!!!

High five 👍 What size is your screen? Any up close images/video of the hinges used and screen fabric attachment?
@Rawsawhd2 жыл бұрын
150".. Its made out of 1x4 pine and assembled with "L" brackets. There's two vertical cross pieces in the middle. Got the material from Carls Place. The hinges are just a black standard hinges.. What I learned? A- let the wood acclimate for at least a few days to the home. B- paint the wood black (I covered it after the fact by slipping some velvet fabric around the center pieces and stapling it). I could see the light color from the wood during bright scenes.. After 2+ years, its my next upgrade. I've gotten some sags in the fabric so I'd like to just pull the trigger on a new screen with frame made from metal.

Nicely done. I think all of our rooms are a work in progress. I'm pretty much 'done' with everything but I need/want to do the curtains in the front and some kind of motorized panels when I can save some more cash. My projector was bounding during some sound/music tests and I tried a few ideas to fix it. I did find a solution and it works perfectly! It is not exactly 'pretty' so I will need to figure out how to pretty it up. Now even with the system at full volume, the projector no longer bounced. Look forward to your updates. Best Wishes!

Is your projector on a ceiling mount? Hush box? Or shelf?
@wwsvs2 жыл бұрын
@@Rawsawhd My projector is on a type of shelf. The projector shelf connects from the back center/top of the stadium seating to the back wall of the room. The shelf is about 4 feet long and 3 feet wide by 6 inches high. The shelf is filled with pink fiberglass. I have foam between the connection points and under the carpet, the projector sits on. My theater room has 7 full range speakers, each with a 15" woofer, so the low-frequency sound has to go somewhere. I still have the dual 12" sub to set up but honestly, I don't know if it is even needed. I could build a tray under the projector with the necessary padding to make it look nicer.
@Rawsawhd2 жыл бұрын
@@wwsvs my first thought is to get some isolation feet? Sub $100 could do the trick.
@SavageAirCinema2 жыл бұрын
I would keep the projector in the middle part of the room, not the back. Just raise it up a little, like you said. Keeping it closer to the screen will better maintain the brightness of the image.

In my opinion... Denon probably has one of the worst sounding digital receivers on the market (especially for 2-channel music) and I think the reason why they're so popular is because of latest features and it's fancy graphics and let's not forget why they so popular in their first place, there user-friendliness!
@Rawsawhd2 жыл бұрын
As I mentioned, the XMC2 sounds better then the Denon. It should for $3k plus another $4k+ for amplifiers. It's not an apples to apples comparison. Now I like the products that Emotiva offers. It's a great value vs performance and I still desire more/better. That said (like so many other reviews) it's not the most user friendly and I don't feel it's for everyone... As for the Denon 4500H? I can't complain. In the $1000-1500 category it's hard to beat (at the time). It's not my first Denon product and I've owned receivers from Yamaha, Onkyo, Pioneer, etc through the years and it held it's own. To say a general statement as an entire product line is the worst sounding? What other products are in your system? Speakers? Sources? Wiring? Your room? Size? Treatments? Everything affects everything...Your personal experience may be true for you but to each his own... Thanks for the comment...
@Antibackgroundnoise Жыл бұрын
I was so disappointed with Denon's 2 channel stereo audio, I returned my Openbox £2,000 6500 and purchased a brand new one. Only to discover it too sounded exactly the same. Even though when the sound Dynamics changed, I occasionally had to reach for the remote control. Movies with the Denon were pretty good. For me, it was it's stereo audio that did it. I couldn't get the best out of any of my high-end speakers. It's not what one could call a quality Hi-Fi Sound.
