Im trying out for the first time ever, even when i follow all steps sterilization, wears gloves etc. how many tries do you think it’ll take before my first harvest? I'm trying to find more information about the light?? Like how much light is needed in terms of how many hours per day and when? Maybe what type of light is best? My friend's situation is that he is going to be using a closet that is in the bathroom of a restaurant he runs in the Florida keys. The mushrooms can be checked on at night for any maintenance but it must be kept in the closet. So he is talking about it needs light and I'm looking for a source or something to find out more about how much light it needs and what kind and I've also heard you can just completely grow it in a closet with no light. Anyone can message me with more info

I live in the Philippines where it is very hot and I sweat like crazy when I spawn to bulk because I turn off the AC when I S2B. My hands sweat like crazy so I wear gloves. Do I really need to turn off the AC when I spawn to bulk? Because I can NEVER enjoy S2B because it is always so hot and I sweat like crazy.

So instead of using a bigger monotoub to contain the smaller ones , I am using the bods tek in a 2 by 2 grow tent Meaning going straight to fruiting. Do I have to allow air into the tent, as im worried about spreading trich through my tent if it presents itself?

78! Gram wet PE shrooms in an inflatable monotub 45$ amazon. Best flushes I ever gotten I’ve been making tubs for years. My advice is go smaller and try the inflatable I’ve never gotten contam in the inflatable tubs but anything bigger than 32 quarts and if u add a late casing layer u will most likely get Trichaderma. And if that happens don’t open the tub remove it front the grow area and as much as it suck toss it in the compost pile. I’ve contaminated my whole tent trying to save 1 tub. 😂😂😂 live and learn. Also don’t open them unless it absolutely necessary. Let them ride and whe. Fruiting don’t open till u about ready to harvest

@@yakivpopavich they only make 1 size that I know of 12” x18”x11” tall perfect size and I gotten 77 gram wet penis envy shroom that were almost side pins the inflatable also kept the temperature from jumping around to much they are great set it and forget it tubs

My exact thoughts that spawn is prime for contam if not fully colonized otherwise coir substrate rarely gets contaminated.

I think he's just using coir. I grow on CVG - Coco Coir, Vermiculite, Gypsum - which I have found to help my grows. Coir alone works just fine though with proper pasteurization/sterilization

these shrooms remind me of brains, all this is about activating your brain up to 100% which we lazy and not stimulated to do usually.. however spirituality comes from the heart to activate it no shrooms will help but your own will, thats my belief even though I like trips and all that, but this is all for the brain.

Small shrooms are better by weight. What do you think gets you higher, 5g of mushrooms that is comprised of 15 little mushrooms, or 5g of mushrooms that is 2 large mushrooms? Hint, get the baggy with the 15 smaller mushrooms.

😂 Never, ever try a PE strain… 😂 Fruit size has absolutely zero to do with potency bud. Strain, and the drying/storage method are far bigger factors.

@@ferfzero4333 Seasoned mycologists say otherwise. PE are still cubensis. They are, at max, a 7.5/10 when normal cubes like golden teacher and amazonian, are a 6.5/10 Ive had PE before, Ive GROWN them before, and I can guarantee you, that the 3.5g bag that had 5 mushrooms, although smaller, was much more potent than the 3.5 bag that was 2 PE mushrooms. After a certain size, they do not produce more psi, but they DO bulk up with water. The psilocybin spreads out as the mushroom gets bigger. Anyone who has actually been growing for longer than 10 years, and has done MANY trips, will tell you that the bag with more smaller mushrooms, is stronger than the bag with big mushrooms. Thats why when you were in highschool and picked some up, and you gave your buddy the 3.5 bag that had the "small shrooms" while you kept the nice looking big ones, your buddy was tripping harder than you. You just thought they couldnt handle it as good, but in reality, they got a bigger dose.

Can you use black tubs??? Do you need to do the holes??? What is the substitute/ soil made of??? Any other tips I’m just using brown rice can let you know how I go?

You could use black tubs, but then you may wind up with discoloration of the fruits with no light source. I typically like to do a 12/12 cycle to mimic the naturally occuring light cycles. You do need the holes to allow airflow, especially during the fruiting stage. Some recommend plugging the holes to restrict airflow during colonization and then swapping out for micropore tape when fruiting conditions are optimal and the tub is 80% colonized. I personally use a mix of grains for spawn, but haven't tried rice. And I always go with the tried and true mix of coco coir, vermiculite, and gypsum for my substrate. My biggest tip is to not hover and just let them do their thing, it takes time and hovering only increases your anxiety over contam. I've never had any, and my first grow I was so worried about it I was checking my bags and then tub about every few hours. Just relax and let em grow. Mush love 🍄

Yeah you'll need pasteurized, or sterilized coir (you just buy regular coco coir and do it yourself). I grow on CVG - Coco Coir, Vermiculite, Gypsum - and I know it's probably overkill, but I pressure cook it at 15PSI for 2 hours before use.
