Every article I can find on this case has the phrase "nearly all white jury" in it. So I decided to do some actual investigation. 8 "white" jurors and 2 "black or African-American" jurors. The jury accurately reflected the community in which he lived. Which is Approx 78% white and 15% black. When a prosecutor seeks the death penalty in North Carolina, the jury must return a unanimous verdict. If one juror does not agree, the sentence can only be life imprisonment without retrial. So both of those black jurors supported the death penalty. Some may claim under duress, but we have no proof of that - or not that I could find. Judges & state prosecutors have complete autonomy over sentencing - and that's where we need to look. This isn't about the jury at all.

Closing arguments for this case will begin today (8/21). I'm curious to see what will happen.

Wow, I have to say, a beautiful moment in American history! God bless all of them, and, we must never forget the great men and women who came before them dealing with the evils of systemic, vile, despicable, racism!

Celine Dion most definitely belongs to Top 10. She is among the Vocal Trinity, alongside Whitney and Mariah. She may be polarising in terms of her artistic choices, but as a singer, she is no doubt a tour de force. She, together with Whitney and Mariah, powered the diva industry in the 90s that basically gave birth to Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Adele, Gaga and Ariana. She didnt sing her ass off in All By Myself and It's All Coming Back to Me Now to be disrespected this way.

Using this as a reference for my reel. I graduate in the spring. Thanks, Jatrissa <3
@jatrissawooten2 жыл бұрын
Oh Wow! Thanks Jay and congrats on your upcoming graduation. Just remember when constructing your reel only add clips that are interesting, compelling, and/or creative. Make sure your sound is nothing but clear if you hear a little static, get rid of it. Make sure we can see you clearly also. Lastly show us, YOU! Good luck! :D

No truer words have been spoken ... "You have to let people know that you "Belong" here, sometimes it's a delicate game to play, but you have to play it nonetheless" ... I believe the black comedian Deon Cole called it "Managing Your Blackness

From the time I began to read about these gifted service men/women, I thought of the Tuskegee airmen who proved to everyone that God blessed everyone with dreams, an intelligent mind and the ability to rise to our highest potential if we are allowed to just be. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the colour of our skin. Proud of you all. "Straighten up and fly right"! Fly high!

Do we always have to go with the black labels and all? Having to watch these awesome people alongside this commentary is really not pleasant.. dear content creator,there is room for improvement

Thank Neo, appreciate your feedback. As a journalist my job IS to commentate, all facts I’ve stated were according to those you see on the screen. Lastly do you see the view count? Have you ever seen any these people prior to the video? So whether you like it or not I’m getting these awesome people the “light” they deserve. Thanks again. Happy Tuesday!

The enemies of our Country don't see the color of Americans,they only see Americans.
@georgewilliams22433 жыл бұрын
There is only one Air Force .It's not black ,white,brown,yellow are any other color. We have only one thing in common we are all Americans who serve to protect our country the United States of America. If you keep going down this road of division(DIVERSITY) you will destroy our military and our country. Stop! creating division
