Does anybody watching this video remember or know of a pub called The Angel? Back in the day, when my family owned it, I believe there was also rooms to let for the night upstairs? My family owend it before WWII and shortly thereafter I think. I can't find pix of it on-line or anything. Only know the place thru family stories, but aparently, it was a huge spot for people from Caerphilly to gather.

My mother had 5 of her 7 children there in the 50's/60's , most of her 22 grand children were born there in the 80 's , I broke my leg in the early 60's and doctor Ray looked after me every week for nearly 6months changing the rocker on bottom of my foot , brilliant hospital which should never have been shut down for the giant doctors surgery in ystrad , the money would have been better invested refurbishing and extending the miners instead .
