Heya! This video was sent to me in a Rhythm Heaven discord, and everyone was wondering if this is actually real. I decided to -download- legally obtain the game and try it out on the desmume emulator. It appears this is just a result of poor emulation from way back then. If anyone comes across this video, it’s just because the emulation back then was kinda bad.

Whoa this is one old vid I made. What you see here is real tho. I basically run the rom on R4 or Edge(I forgot which one) on a NDS Lite. (US region) But the flashcart at that time has no AP patch yet, which made this game check that I was running a pirated version and messed the menu. Once the game were restarted, the save data is corrupted and you were forced to create a new game. If you wondering why I have all the game unlocked, is because I used my Japanese save data at that time. Rhythm Heaven from all region is cross compatible with any save data(which I do test with the US version later) Even without the save data, the game will end up fucked up after the first 5 mini game (I guess, I forgot tbh). But it will destroy itself and corrupt the save data. Anyway, this vid was made when I was 17, and I have a terrible camera back then so pardon the quality. If you want, I can dig up my old DS to record this again. (Not sure if I have the same fw for the flashcart that would trip the AP check again)
