On the gov website it states interest on mortgage or rent can be claimed on your home office expenses. You haven't put that in your sheet. do you live mortgage free or is there a issue with claiming this. Got a friend accountant said you can't claim on this, but the gov site states otherwise...

Really need help! When I fill out the form correctly, at the very end it shows a 4th PDF that says "Form W-8BEN: No treaty applied.pdf" - whereas my original one that I filled out in 2021 said "Form W-8BEN: Default". Any clue why it's saying "no treaty applied" when I did everything correctly?

This month they've updated it, they will lower the threshold to 20,000 income and over. They haven't given a date on that yet. I feel sick tbh. This whole mtd using 3rd party software is filling me with dredd, i don't like doing important stuff online it causes me anxiety, i don't even do Internet banking or shopping. And my plan will be converted to Plus. And Plus annual subscription is 99.99+vat. But the customer service support team told me I will have to pay 99.99+vat from the start of the 1st December. I am confused. Will I have to pay advance annual payment every year? Could you please clarify this?

You do know quickbooks just made that website obsolete. It has a FREE OCR built into Quickbooks.

Looks great. Trying to work out how some of my old clients could mess it up. It's pretty close to a magic bullet for them, but I bet some would still do their best in setting stuff up wrong. I now lament how many hours I've had to rewrite accounts over the years.

i use a sheet of clear Perspex to lay over each receipt before taking the photo. One side is slightly frosted to reduce glare. This flattens the receipts and enables all the text to be accurately read by the OCR software.

Unfortunately unless you have a passport or driving licence you can't open up an account. Official ID like the Post Office PASS, which is a photo ID, with name and address and approved by the home office and find for Etsy is not good enough for them. So some small businesses can't use them.

You will have the joy of calculating deferred taxation for limited companies - the amount of tax if you sold them at the year end. Total waste of time, but them's the rules.
