Kennywood is my home park. After visiting KI and Cedar Point tons of times. I always get nervous when people from Cedar Point come here. We definitely don't have as many thrill rides. Im really glad you had a good time. As KW being my home park. I feel your pain with TT2 this year.

@@jpgiles1725 thanks for watching. I definitely had a good time here. I feel that a park is more then the coasters Kennywood felt like a nice park that was had a comfortable vibe to it And yeah it sucks having big rides closed but that's just another reason to go back next year

Kings Island has better operations most days and they do have some cool shows that's their history that's what they're known for Cedar Point has some shows but they have the best coasters that's what they're known for and the ambience on the peninsula surrounded by water there's nowhere like Cedar Point Kings Island doesn't even come close they're just better and a few small categories, I love both but I'm not dumb Cedar Point is in another League

Cedar Point is nowhere near as photogenic as Kings Island. And the entrance of the park is disappointing compared to the large fountains and Eiffel Tower. Plus, Cedar Point has smaller kids areas and a much smaller Waterpark. Too much crammed into a crowded space. Sorry, I found Cedar Point underwhelming.

King island has more for people that do not like rollar coaster. Better shows. Winter event. Better haunt, better events. Love both parks but with one kid with autism one has work better.also night rides.

Thanks for your opinion. As a coaster fan, you should head out to Six Flags Magic Mountain sometime. They actually have more coasters than CP, though maybe not the same intensity. My kids prefered MM over Universal Hollywood.

It's a very close call. I'd say Cedar Point is my favorite of the two, but it's an extremely close call. Kings Island has much better operations, but Cedar Point has better rides, but it's by a very narrow margin.

I love Kings Island for all the shade it has, but ride wise. I have to go with Cedar Point. (my opinion, if you don't like it, I don't care).

I think that King's Island vs Cedar Point is a similar comparison between Universal and Disney. CP is more for roller coaster enthusiasts whereas KI is has far less focus on just its coasters. KI has a fantastic kids section in Planet Snoopy as well as a massive water park that is even expanding next year with additional kids space. KI is the Disney- for families, and CP is the Universal- for adults and older kids. Also, longer wait times for those who can't pay for fast passes is a major buzzkill. I'd prefer to do more rides.

I didn't like diamondback, and after hearing people praise that coaster, I'm assuming I got some slow rides on it ( even tho i road 3 times throughout the day ) So I rank magnum Way higher then diamondback but i think beast is better

CP is more crowed because it is a smaller space as it is an island connected to the mainland via a causeway. KI has more room for people to spread out in thus it seems less crowded as it is not on an island despite the name.

Size wise and number of coasters it’s of course CP. But for atmosphere, number of times you can ride in a day, and ride operations, it’s KI by a landslide. Even on a great day with a relatively small crowd and fast lane passes, we are lucky to ride a total of maybe 15 - 18 rides at CP. You can easily double that for KI. There’s been times where we rode Orion 5-7 times in a row in an hour. That’ll NEVER happen at CP. CP also has a very bad lack of shade on the extremely long walks from one side of the park to the other. It takes all day to go around CP maybe 1-2 times. At KI you can go around the entire park multiple times.

The way you didn't mention operations is wild. While CP can't control the crowds, they can ONE HUNDRED PERCENT control/influence their operations. While I'm iffy about international workers, they have a hard time communicating to their coworkers and the guests. King Island has THE BEST operations out of a regional theme park I've been to.

Hands down Kings Island! Banshee > Raptor, Orion=Millie, Adventure Express>Creek Mine Ride, Bat>Iron Dragon, Maverick=Slow lines/frequent break downs, Mystic Timbers=Best airtime ever, Beast=LEGEND!, Rougarou=fun ride, Diamondback=Best B&M,

Having visited both parks multiple times and not living anywhere near either park, I can look at it unbiased. Millennium Force > Orion Magnum < Diamondback Raptor > Banshee Cedar Point kills it in the steel coaster category. Kings Island kills it in the wood coaster category. Water rides…this goes to Kings Island….especially now that Cedar Point is closing SRF and will only have one water ride. Cedar Point wins in flat ride category. Kings Island wins in kids areas.ay not have as much as Cedar Point but their stuff is better. Trains….eh…probably Cedar Point. Cedar Point also has the sky ride. Food…can’t really comment on this one. The waterparks are a wash for me. Atmosphere….clearly a win for Kings Island. Way nicer walk around the park. Cedar Point is in a cool location, but it just gets so crowded and chaotic. Staff…also a win for Kings Island. Faster ops, friendlier staff, all around happier seeming team members. Overall, they’re both great parks and depending on what you’re looking for in a park, you may choose one over the other, but they’re both worth visiting.
