3-4 years ago, there's a harness called "5-pin to .187" cable" if you want to replace the stock microswitch/PCB assembly with the microswitches you bought...

Bout to slide one of these in an Otto Modded V5 JLF as the ones that come in the kit are too large for my taste.

I have a Hayabusa lever that feels clunky after years of use. I was wondering if I should just swap the lever or maybe taking it out and putting some grease on it will solve the problem? What do you think?

Can't find someone selling it in my country, so roll a tape around the stock actuator to make it 1 mm thicker in diameter. Basically the same LOL. 🤷♂️😁

Just installed one of these with a 2lb spring in my JLF, improved the feel of the stick alot. Tried a 4lb spring but that was too much for me

Same, but I added the octagonal gate as well and now the throw is a bit too large. I wish there was a smaller octagonal gate for the JLF. I guess I'll have to put on the square gate again for now. And I'd personally like the engage distance to be even smaller, like on my old Suzo 'The Arcade' joysticks (with Atari connector). They have a super short engage with the throw almost as short, matched with a spring of exactly the right stiffness. Also the fire button touch on mine is as light as the Sanwa buttons, without bottoming out.

I used a 2.5 and then a 3 from Paradise arcade shop, now using a 4, trust me on this that yes everyone's style and preference is different, but after a bit of time I felt the 3 loosen a little, the 4 has now broken in a little and is perfect, the first couple of days it is quite hardcore but try breaking it in a bit and you may find the perfect tension for you as the springs will always loosen a bit from their stock feeling 🕹, I'm not aiming to go higher than a 4 it feels just right, but there are 5 lbf, 6 and 9

Can i buy actuator for seimitsu Ls-56?
@mxBug2 жыл бұрын
LS-56 already has very short throw, the actuator is practically touching all four switches due to the compact design. not sure if you can even fit a much bigger one

Hopefully this is comparible to the acrylic plates for the Seimitsu LS56. That's what I currently use but I have a new JLF sitting around because I want to have the Link EX Groove so I can store my fight stick safely, but that thing just drops inputs like mad because of it's ridiculously long throw.

I have a stock Sanwa and when trying to do diagonal it register as D and F individually. I cannot get the damn dragon punch to trigger because it always come out as a fireball.

I think I have the opposite problem: too easy to hit a diagonal when I want a cardinal. The stock Sanwa JLF both hits diagonal going from forward to down in dragon punch, plus accidentally jump forward during fireballs. Do you sell "undersized actuators"? But with a "mostly square, but slightly Octo" Gate? (Cardinals bigger than diagonals)

Is the balltop 30mm or 35mm?
@seansoni4 жыл бұрын
It's a 35mm balltop.

My Hori is a lot tighter than that with a lot less distance between the shaft and the switches.

Why use switches at all, Hall Effect sensors are guaranteed to be silent. Or go for the even older solution and run leaf switches.

With so many different variations of cherry switches now days and just different companies making these types of switches now, these might be the most interesting push buttons to get. I don't know if they would replace a sanwa or a seimitsu for all-around usage at say an actual arcade but I'm sure these with the right switch type would be just right for some people on their sticks.

Anyone going from a JLW to a JLF will definitely want one of these. The throw is massive and feels clunky compared. I just got a Mayflash F500 and it was night and day to the JLW on my arcade cab.
@shocknawe5 жыл бұрын
mr2nut123 Hey mate. Didn't quite that at the end. So...the night and day difference: is the JLW better or worse than the JLF in your opnion, and do you mean stock JLF or Kowal JLF? Cheers
@mr2nut1235 жыл бұрын
@@shocknawe JLW is better imo, but only because of the stock throw. This kowal actuator is a must.
@shocknawe5 жыл бұрын
mr2nut123 Im wondering because I too have both JLF and JLW sticks, however, I feel like corners are like, so hard to be hit, it's mental, on the JLF. I'm really curious as to if mine is simply defective. I can't even fathen as to how come pros and others say to NOT ride the gate. If I don't, it skips diagonals entirely, and even when I do, it hits diagonals probably 1/3 or 2/3 of the time. The JLW, to me, feels too heavy, and as thd spring is different from other sticks, I can't switch it. Im trying to get mylself a round or octo gate for it, as maybe that could do the trick for me.
@AvengerII5 жыл бұрын
BTW, does ANYONE sell a six-pin harness for silent/optical joysticks? I know Hori has the option for them in their PS4 joysticks but do you have to mod your existing harness? I know with the Brooks Fighting Board PBC it has a VCC terminal that you can use to power an optical joystick.

Which microswitch come default with arcade sticks? I got the Razer Ryu/Akuma fight stick and the buttons feel too light/flimsy... will the black microswitch make the buttons feel more sturdy/bounce back quicker (like the arcades in America)?
